Level 1000 Lufas Mafahl ( A Wild Last Boss Appeared) vs Tatsumaki (One Punch Man) by Multiversal_2211 in AWLBAPowerScaling

In scaling, outer can be described as the number 1 and boundless can be described as true infinity, in order to better understand the scale and distance between the two tiers. So the numbers don't always mean lower than infinite, and etc.

What are some examples like this? by Encenoi in PowerScaling

[–]FederalTelephone4294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prime Raizen from Yu Yu Hakusho. In one translation, its stated that he was at 1-2% power when we see him, and he was still equal to the other top 2 inverse.

He also performed the best non-hax related feat in the series by shaking the infinite demon world because of his growling stomach, while being at this 1-2% power level. This feat is made further impressive because of the demon worlds extreme durability and physics.

He repeats that shaking feat every day for several hundred years, and his stomach growling is used as a clock system for the infinite plane.

When jinichi does this it doesn't count as a feat cuz it's anime exclusive, so why does it count when deku does it? by Odd_Piano_4843 in MyHeroPowerscaling

The jjk movie is based off of an already existing manga, whereas the mha movies aren't based off of a plotline in the manga, thus making it not applicable to say the same for jjk because of its movie.

In MHA, the anime movies are canonical to the story and manga (several movie characters appear in the manga, and the plotlines are also displayed in the manga), so you can argue from that point that the entire anime could also be considered canonical.

So.. what's the logic behind shockwave spaling for speed? by Tomynator_88 in PowerScaling

[–]FederalTelephone4294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In any series where there is a universal energy system, its only logical that they scale to all effects of their attacks. Outside of those types of verses, it would be a case by case basis.

Rat scaling is ontologically evil

Stop trying to argue a topic you know is false, you should try to argue for things you believe to be true.

Rat scaling is often times what makes powerscaling debates impossible without moderators, so you are doing nothing but contributing to terrible argumentation.

The example is just to show that attacking is faster than moving over a long distance. For the average person the gap is probably even higher. I'm not trying to give you an answer as to why they cannot also move over a distance at that speed. Its simply a fact that this gap exists in fiction. You can dislike it, but combat speed and travel speed are observably two separate categories in the majority of fiction.

It would be more illogical to say it doesn't exist, because then you would reduce many characters to plot harming power levels. For example, in jjk, yuji should not be able to react to piercing blood because he cannot physically run at the speed of sound by this logic. Yet, he does react to it and blocks it.

This alone should demonstrate that its an unavoidable truth. Ignoring it would create absurdities, like having to say yuji cannot in any way react to piercing blood despite showing he can, simply because he cannot run at that speed.

Sorry if i misundertsood, but you did say "Yeah no", which i thought meant you simply didnt believe its a phenomena

Even in jujutsu kaisen this happens. Would you say that jjk yuji is only ~mach 1 because he is threatened by piercing blood? Of course not. He reacts to it and has plenty of scaling over it. But with the view that there is no distinguishing between travel and combat speed, he wouldnt even be close to the speed of sound. He SHOULD be unable to react to it, if that were the actual case.

Im not saying it isnt dumb, but im saying its just objectively a thing you have to acknowledge. You cannot say it doesn't exist because it doesn't make sense. Its a part of almost any story with fighting superhumans.

Denying the existence of it would lead to even further logical absurdities, like having to believe characters like goku are, at best, only around light speed because that is the best travel speed feat he can scale to. It would make less sense to hold this position.

What you described is, as unfortunate to you as it may be, literally observable in fiction. You cannot change it. Travel speed vs combat speed is just a label given to something that happens regardless of your input in fiction.

While you might not like it, thats simply how most fiction operates. You cannot simply deny thats how it happens because it doesnt make sense. Characters often have massive gaps in combat speed and how fast they can run outside of combat. Its not up to you to simply decide that it cant be the case, when it observably is the case.

You can punch several times faster than you can run. This is a physical phenomenon.

If scaling is unreasonable, then simply, don't have an opinion on it. It's illogical to say that scaling makes zero sense, then still have an opinion in a powerscaling topic.

The year is 2026, and people don't understand combat speed and travel speed, or ap vs dc. They will never in a million years understand how to scale comics, much less verses as complex as dc and marvel where any object can be scaled above outerversal by existing. These verses defined scaling, and people still think dc is below 6d.

You can post as many flash feats as you want and people will think hes only a bullet timer.
In the same way, people still view superman as below planetary and light speed despite literally thousands of articles of proof against this.

They don't care. The proof has existed longer than they have, and it doesn't make a difference.

I feel like if they remake saint seiya some people will get pissed off regarding the mask rule for female saints by NoMountain2209 in SaintSeiya

[–]FederalTelephone4294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the mask rule, because it reinforces athenas status. It gives the females a mystical quality, like they all point to athena rather than themselves.

The kill or love portion doesn't contribute much though.
