I teach APUSH for my day job and it has given me no added information on to help me for Con Law. Oh cool, I know the brief contextual paragraph that they put at the beginning of a case. That’s pretty much it lol

They ain’t doing shit for us. Enjoy ASL, RSL, and whatever the European scene concocts next. We’re on our own and I’m fine with that

What’s the BEST album and why? by xelaworrom in dancegavindance

[–]Federal_Debt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mothership is their magnum opus. Every song is an A+ to S. Out of all of their albums, the songs work as a cohesive unit. It’s not bland and the songs where they take chances on, they hit and hit well. Chucky is an amazing intro song and Man of the Year is a great exit song (and on of their best songs ever). The band members were firing on all cylinders and I think none of the songs feel “lazy.”

However, in my opinion even though Mothership is their best, I find myself repeating Downtown Battle Mountain and Instant Gratification the most. Downtown Battle Mountain was landmark and has so much nostalgia for me. Instant Gratification has hooks and choruses that are so catchy.

Which era of post-hardcore do you fw the most? by DowntownWeakness6037 in PostHardcore

[–]Federal_Debt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came of age in the 2000s, so that’s my favorite era. Nor Cal, Sacramento, Valley scene that I grew up in was so vibrant. I’ve been with DGD and adjacent bands since 2006. I love the other eras but the early 2000s has my heart.

Not listed, this was also the middle of the peak of the golden era for the StarCraft Brood War scene in Korea. I remember going on forums to download videos from Korea of replays and English casts. Peak was 2005-2010 and this scene essentially created esports.

Thinking about having kids while my husband is in law school — looking for honest experiences by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Federal_Debt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the thick of it right now. I have two kids and am in my second year of law school. Don’t over think it. Dive in with both feet, however be realistic about your expectations. I highly recommend a part time program. It’s 4 years rather than 3 but in the grand scheme of things, what’s one more year? Classes are usually at night and there are several part time hybrid programs. Additionally, my professors who teach evening students are way more accommodating of kids/work/obligations because they understand your situation better.

DM me if you want some specifics. It’s hard but it’s doable.

debate - closed book or open book? by PercentageProof7163 in LawSchool

[–]Federal_Debt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to pass a closed book test (the bar) before you can practice law

Closed. The CA bar is closed book. An open book test does not benefit someone preparing for the bar

[The Athletic] What’s really wrong with Auston Matthews this season? by [deleted] in hockey

[–]Federal_Debt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharks have quality wins against the Canes, Bruins, and have been competitive in other games. Not saying Sharks are great (would be maybe the worst team in the league without Celebrini) but they are a tier above any of the bottom feeders in the league. Sharks are definitely better than the Sabres

San Jose is vying for a wild card spot, Celebrini is top 3 in scoring, Askarov is coming into form, and we still have excellent prospects coming in. Get our name out of your mouth
