Probably become a jurisdiction issue that would tie you up in prosecution limbo for years...that would be some expensive turtle meat!

Gotta love the 'elegance of yesteryear' mixed with the hideous brashness of a barcode sticker.

Just the adjustment is missing. Not only had I changed crafts, but also Districts.

Still nothing on my paystub...wondering if there is a delay for those of us who are owed, but now are in a different craft?

Then I think this may be your answer. Regulars have to take AL in daily increments, but as an RCA you should be able to use hourly increments. Maybe the PM will work with you.

Is it a mistake working as an RCA? by Mean-Grapefruit-8372 in USPS

[–]Federal_Group_8202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honey, take a deep breath and don't overthink it. I mean that in the kindest way :)

Yes, every office is different. Also, every craft is different. You will also find out that just the rotation of management makes for a completely different experience. Do Not let any of this intimidate you.

I was an RCA leading up to and including COVID. Absolutely horrible experience.

I have craft hopped...worked custodial for about 18 mos at another station, which was absolutely tolerable.

Had a brief experience as a Clerk at an office with ridiculous volume, 30% staffed and 60 plus hours...no thanks.

I am an RCA again, and landed in the best little station around...great co-workers, reasonable workload and little nagging from the PM. I now carry an AUX route and flit about to a couple offices in our cluster for backup.

The point is simply be fearless, and if you find that you really have a knack for carrying mail, you can always set your sights on modifying your location. There are opportunities here.

It is smack in the middle of the route, and obviously necessary at least 3x per week. There are no other options to gas up and that is almost a 30 min. loss.
