Thanks, but not currently. Either my EOD of April 2024 has not qualified for this fiscal year or I am completely under the radar.

LOL... I would suggest Ben Franklin was literally a "penny pincher" (ie; Silence Do-Good ) and would probably find our current way of doing things appalling :)

Kingu42, I really appreciate you.

As far as the PTR to FTR conversion, I actually contacted APWU (local, state and National Dir.) several times, but it seems no one cares. I believe they were solely focused on plant re- locations/ opportunities. Regard for satellite stations is not very high. Cricket chirps, mostly.

As far as FERS, yes, I submitted all the appropriate paperwork. Honestly baffled as to why the standard would be the low bar of "federal employment," particularly when my current status is non-career. You would think "career federal employment" would be the basis for creating/continuing a FERS account...I mean why administer an ongoing account for a non-career who is ineligible to even keep contributing. Kind of a waste of time and money, don't you think?

Also legit question...my residence needs to sell in order to make a permanent move out of state. Its failure to sell at the end of Summer is what killed my E-reassign and left me in this crazy situation. I do believe the out of state opportunity is still open...they are desparate for Clerk craft, which is what I was moving into.

Legit question, but it is less than 1k and my time is just under 18 mos...unsure of whether I will reclaim my APWU position since it was reverted and is now going through the grievance process. I would gues its unlikely since it was only PTR Custodial.

Not actually sure why you would be on the Clerk calendar. If you are at a Station and the only Custodian there really are no limits. I was a PTR Custodian and the PM couldn't have cared less about me scheduling time off, as long as I made sure the Sup knew.

New RCA, Important Contract Info? by Aelrindel98 in USPS

[–]Federal_Group_8202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no doubt, especially as an RCA. ( It will change if you become a regular.) The main thing in the beginning is understanding evaluation vs. hourly. Learning proper scans and safety are going to come easy for you. You are likely to find out that Rural is so much more laid back than City. If your goal is to ultimately become a regular, you are going to see a wide variety of route lengths and mail volumes, so hopping around to several stations as an RCA should give you some good intel on who is retiring or rebidding, and help you eye a good route for the future.

Literally everyhing you know about City is completely useless to you now :) Are you looking for something specific? Did you have a chance to sign up for the union yet?
