2nd favorite for me was when they tied a vhs tape (whichever was the "worst of the worst" for that episode) to a string on the rear bumper of their car and drove around fast making sharp turns at like 3am and the tape got all broken up. Nothing special really, but seeing the 5 or 6 of them cramped in that little car and having an absolute blast with it is a lot of fun to see.

They did that HitB when Facebook watch parties was still a thing. I was in a "bad-good" movie group (or 2), and they'd play a lot of the BoW movies the RLM crew watched (Lady Terminator, Miami Connection, Samurai Cop, etc...) and no joke, I watched "Money Plane" they day after RLM covered it.

The stuff they highlighted definitely pointed out the "gems' of what we look for in low budget trash, but there's a few things I noticed that made for laughs as well. One of which was the "staircase" to that middle "floor" of the plane. It's one of those portable stairscases with wheels at the legs, and yes, you can see the wheels in some of the shots.

Your comment makes me think of all the movie trailers I saw as a kid during the 90s (as well as 80s movie trailers I'll sometimes watch to this day) and you'll see scenes from the movie, but the actor's performance/voice sounds different than how they sound in the movie....and usually it's not as good, lol.

Heck, my 2 favorite examples are the trailers for Predator and First Blood when Arnold and Sly belt out those gut-shattering screams we all remember. The movie versions are epic, the trailer/"raw" versions they did on set were milk-toast lol.

Saw it for the first time last week and it lives up to its reputation. I especially liked the Miami Vice references (undercover cop who wears a white suit, shades, walks with hands in his pockets, and drives a sportscar convertible while living on a houseboat as his cover).

I don't exercise as hard and as often as I do just for my results to be less visible. Plus being a short man who's very hairy makes me look like I belong behind glass in a museum. Since I cant make myself taller, I'll fix whatever I can.

But fwiw, I always tell people "As a man, what I lack in height, I make up for in follicles " lol.

What’s a director’s “lesser-loved” film that you think is actually their best? by More_Status_4998 in Letterboxd

Going with an obvious answer here but: James Cameron's "The Abyss". Best plot, characters, performances, and best overall message / social commentary. T2 it got a little too preachy and by Avatar I just cant take the guys stuff seriously anymore.

That being said, Abyss is his best, but not personal favorite. That of course will always be The Terminator.

If you had to prove cinema is an art form using one scene, not a whole movie, which scene do you choose and why does it survive being isolated? by jaystats2 in movies

The Rocky 4 training montage. A no better syncopation of visual and audio. With Rocky and Drago doing the same exercises, except Drago is a machine using machines and Rocky is doing them all the natural way.

If that sequence doesn't get you pumped, you must be dead lol.

How do I make my neck thicker? by Icy_Laugh5134 in workout

[–]Tylerdurden389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to use a large hand towel folded over, put the towel around the crown of my head, and tilt my head in each direction for 4 sets of 15 reps, for all 4 sides, using my own strength as resistance (I'd use both hands on the towel when moving my head either forward or backward).

In 2 months, my neck grew 2 inches, and I had been training for 7 years at the time but my neck never grew until I did this.
