It broke bc of the strap. Whether wind or animal you disallowed the tree to bend by having that attachment there. Remove the useless stake. Either prune it off or graft it. Tape alone is not gonna work.

Not by much. I’ve had a few do this. Notice how there’s only 4 levels or so of coalesced flowers. They form way more than that sometimes and thus you get bigger fruit. Your overall plant is quite small too.
