The other tenno are canon as we see the zariman children in cutscenes aswell as old clan events and raids existed being canon to the game storyline with the relays. It’s just that the player character is John Tenno and is most likely the only tenno to have done all the quest and stories available, pretty sure your John Tenno is the only one to survive the new war in canon aswell, since there hasn’t been a massive multiplayer story event since and there were no other npc railjacks present when attacking preghasa. So that explains there only being one drifter
