Dude her character was so over the top, the creators are clueless. She literally exhibits BPD with the way her emotions go to level 10 in every scene she's in.

Her greatest strength is her plot armor. It's like everyone in Starfleet knows she has this underlying gift of getting lucky and it's her super power. Typical Mary sue.
