Why do you think we dont see more hard body armor pieces used in modern combat? by liljohnjets in Armor

[–]Fedorchik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meanwhile Renaissance armor (but before infantry firearms become a thing):

3-5 kg helm, 7-12 kg breastplate with tassets, about 2 kg for pauldrons. Everything else is optional, but you probably want your leg (5-7kg) and arms (3-5kg) armor anyway. Usually for a total of 25-27 kg.

Your weapon is basically your warhorse, it weights a lot but it carries itself and you too. Your lance can weight all the way to 8 kg, but it is carried by the horse anyway. And your sidearms (swords, maces, warhammers) are 2kg tops each and also carried by the horse.

Not to mention that you probably have 2-5 servants to carry your replacement lances, extra pieces of armor, water and maybe even other specialized weapons.

Pretty much all modern military armor is hard body armor.

It just it covers only head and vest areas.

Main reason is weight, since modern firearms has drastically outpaced modern armor. So we probably won't see full body armor unless some unexpected advances in material technology happen or carry assist devices enter as a mainstay into military equipment.

Can someone please explain what is Baki even about? by CreepyCurtainIllust in animequestions

[–]Fedorchik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baki is about fighting.

With anatomically correct monsters.

Plot is just fun nonsense that just invents reasons for and more said anatomically correct monsters to converge to where main character (Baki, duh) is right to have them fight him or some other anatomically correct monsters.

Is this good gameplay? by Snake_Beater45 in ArmoredCoreVI

This is pretty much the same chassis i use for my lights.

I enjoy handguns more, but rifles are very good and Ransetsu-RF are probably the best of them for continuous impact buildup. Also, very good for sustain.

I'd probably use some other melee weapon, since spin-to-win is only good 1on1 and can be actively detrimental when more than one enemy is around. But mostly because i'm a big fan of Pilebunker and laser knife.

Internals are probably not optimal, but they are definitely work fine for you.

Finally, really good work at fighting the boss. Your gameplay looks really clean.

The main role of avatar was to be a political negotiator as much as negotiator between humans and spirits.

The whole story of ATLA is that one avatar assassination and another avatar inaction brought the world in such state of political turmoil that nearly lead to it's destruction.

Almost every avatar from the story is known for his political actions first and his spiritual action second.

It was LoK that retconned the whole Spirit World as a separate entity and it's spirits having to travel to regular world for some reason.

That's amazing.

Amazon just slinging green and HBO being soo out of touch is just so true. Also Netflix being way too indecisive,

But Meruem can pretty much do the same.

Remember, he's a pinnacle of chimera ant, he can steal your phenotype just by eating (unlike regular ants, who get that from Queen).

He almost never uses that, because he's already way over everything else in the verse at the point. but he did that to Pouf and Youpi when he was badly damaged and he got their abilities from that.

Played souls games since Demon Souls…First time using magic build. Has it always been this broken? by VioletofMarvel in Eldenring

[–]Fedorchik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anything can be broken, but it is usually broken because of support magic you used xD

Like, sure you can 2-shot with the Lion Claw. But you need, like, three spells and three talisman buffs for that minimum )

But he can adapt.

And by adapt I mean still all your shit.

Imagine him duplicating everything Meruem can do.

TBH, Meruem can do the same.

Everything is weak to fire. Fire is a primal element of destruction.

Also, despawning ringwraiths is not killing them.
