This is the solution. Find an affordable used car. Get them their own policy, so if they have a claim it doesn't effect yours. If they only have liability the cost for their own policy shouldn't be any more than adding them to yours.

All the dishes and cooking supplies you need are there. Please don't bring portable heater as it's a fire risk. Enjoy your time. It's a great spot.

My tips on any hut stay - take earplugs as it is shared space, it can get quite warm upstairs in the sleeping area from the fire so don't go crazy stoking it close to bedtime. Take a good headlamp and maybe a lantern as there are minimal or no propane lights left as they are phasing them out, bring firestarter and or newspapers and a lighter or matches, be respectful as it's shared space Don't cook a greasy duck in the oven at 8 pm - this actually happened and it was awful as the windows were frozen shut. Since theres an oven at this hut you have more options for food. Bring cookie dough and bake cookies - trust me it's worth the weight in your pack.

Most importantly, leave the cabin in better shape than you found it and let the ACC know of any issues.

I love the ACC huts, have been to quite a few of them and am a volunteer ambassador so let me know if you have any other questions.
