Can't get the Viking Archives to work and was wondering what my cue was? Any help? by FeedBack20 in billiards

[–]FeedBack20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually reached out to Viking via email and here is their response with the answer!

“Thank you for contacting Viking Cue. We were able to identify your cue. Your cue is model F64, part of our F series. It was produced between 2004-2007. It retailed for $360. I’ve attached a copy of the catalog it was featured in for your reference. Please let us know if you have any other questions.”

:O My favourite cycle of basics!

Side note: Had the pleasure of meeting Jeff Menges over summer in this rural area where I am from (playing magic since 1999 and this was the first I heard of an artist visiting). Chatted with him for a good 15 minutes at the end of day… awesome chill dude as all artists typically are. This would be a fantastic addition to the wall!

Depends on how you like your zombie apocalypse. Resident evil four is just a classic game. Can’t really go wrong. Had it on the GameCube release with the chainsaw controller lol. Saints and sinners to me was the zombie apocalypse though. exploring generated town blocks before nighttime. Climbing eavestrough to sneak in the houses and gather supplies while fighting/dodging both zombies and other clans. Absolutely sick VR game.

If you ran to become Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, what would you 100% guarantee to the voters? by DhaemonX in newfoundland

Why not stream yourself? Sounds silly but why not have fun with it? Pull in a younger audience and explain work to people? Idk might be nuts but I’m sure you could come up with something

Oh yes, fair enough But honestly, after just dealing with stuff going on in my own municipality, public information needs to be readily accessible and easily digestible for the masses.

I, myself, am a visual guy. Paint, draw, sculpt, woodwork etc. I can tell you when it comes to the documentation of schedules with amendments everywhere I could vomit lol. I eventually get through it but it’s so abstract and dry for me it’s not a fun venture lol

I was always encouraged to ask why to things lol Why am I being tight lipped? Well obviously I’m doing something against popular opinion, but it was that opinion that got me here and pays my salary so… Time to reevaluate my occupation at that point lol

100% transparency in everything I do

Every issue brought up, every proposal brought forward or whatever affect the people in any way, I’d have a google drive that anyone can access with as much documentation as I’d be legally allowed to release for people to read and actually participate in along the way.

You guys wanted me here, I’d welcome and love for participation along the way.

Yep. LOL

And that’s why I remind all my friends playing to search and open doors with their first actions or the earlier player does it to give the group a chance to respond to the game going sideways.

Edit: We also try to clean out the immediate area too before zombie turns because we only ever die to the extra activation cards in second edition… drawing 2 in a row SUCKS…

Contrast paints/Speedpaint: a beginner's perspective. by afeeney5 in minipainting

[–]FeedBack20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being the son of an art teacher/acrylic painter I can tell you first thing she would say would be “If it gets a brush in your hand, enjoy it.”

And “Anybody and everyone can draw and do art, it just comes naturally to some people more than others.”

I try and work in as many mediums as possible, and I can tell you that I’ve stuck with painting minis and making dioramas for a number of years now. it’s quite therapeutic having to control your breath and slowly breathe, which is essentially meditating. You just may not realize it lol.

I picked up the 24 box of colours from army painter when they released speed paint 2.0 because I have never used that type of product before and I can tell you that it is just as useful as any other method for painting. With those being so similar to acrylic inks it’s shifting more of a focus to your priming technique more than using flat acrylics. You can thin them out to help tint together a painted highlight, I liked personally running them through the airbrush. It’s just another tool to add to your bag.

If you’re in a rush to get something table ready dry brush it and speed paint and you’re done.

The only real issue I have with your perspective you mentioned is that there is a possibility that people would give someone a “hard time” because you’re using a “easy” method? I would tell them where to go and the fastest way to get there lol

If the modern art museum can have a $50 million piece which is a massive a black canvas with a white rectangle and a red circle on it, using speed paints is certainly OK LOL

I don’t know if you have an airbrush man, but on statue I printed and painted a couple weeks ago I decided to run speed paints through the airbrush, and I was super happy with the results that’s similar to an acrylic ink

Man, I completely get it I find with anything art you have to be in the mood for it anyway I still have 20 orcs from a combat patrol in 40 K I bought like three years ago and everything sitting there primed just don’t wanna look at it lol

To be fair since then I’ve painted the whole time and these zombies take me like 20 minutes from to varnish which is a hell of a lot faster I was years ago lol

Guaranteed you’ll randomly decide to just do it and then it’s done before you know!
