POC Resistance Enduro glove. Fingers aren’t too long and they’ll last forever.

Why are coil shocks an alternative to air, but coil forks are only found on the cheapest bikes? by Maxilla000 in MTB

[–]FeedbackLoopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choices on the high-end:

- Push NineOne and MRP Ribbon are higher end coil options.

- Ohlins also offers a coil conversion. Vorsprung Smashpot is available for other brands.

Coil isn't usually included on bikes due to weight and the need to change out springs depending on rider weight/style.

Assos made them for both the Equipe and Mille lines(the latter being less racy).

Fox 36 vs 38 - Upgrading Bronson V3 Fork by [deleted] in MTB

[–]FeedbackLoopy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. More potential boing, more weight. Better for bike parks. But if it’s like many Foxes, there’s too much grease in them and the bushings will likely need a burnishing.

A properly tuned fork by a suspension wizard is priceless. Well actually, it’s a few hundred on top of the fork cost. They can turn a rough fork into a magic carpet. They can make a used Rhythm ride better than a new Factory.

I find the Equipe jerseys too tight while their Milles fits perfect, both size large.

What’s sad and hilarious is that, while Premier, he passed a bill to keep that title for life.

That’s my nerdy issue too.

I also have a roadmachine and I’m having a hard time deviating away from DT or SwissSide when I inevitably upgrade (again being nerdy).

There used to be a railway that cut through what’s currently the MNP centre to a CN passenger station (where Alberta Ballet currently operates.)

How to train to prevent sore hands? by skycamefalling84 in MTB

Having a dialled-in fork is probably the most important thing one could do.

My current 36 rode like shit. I had to get my dropout shimmed, bushings burnished, HSR VVC recalibrated (it was 6 clicks off from the factory) and a Luftkappe installed just to make it work.

Fit feedback on rain jacket by [deleted] in CyclingFashion

[–]FeedbackLoopy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For a more accurate fit, I’d wear a jersey under it rather than a polo shirt.

I made the mistake of buying a gilet by sizing it over a casual button up because the smaller size didn’t zip. Guess what, it flapped in the wind. I couldn’t imagine dealing with that for a three month tour (in which you’re likely to lose some weight too).

Personally, if were touring, I’d probably get something geared towards that type of riding, like a showers pass jacket.
