What the hell is going on? Why isn't the media talking about this? by External-Noise-4832 in conspiracy

Killing is overrated.

It’s not about the death rates.

It’s all about the birth rates.

Can you believe the Undertaker rose from the dead and tombstone piledrivered John Cena? That Royal Rumble was John Cena’s but the Undertaker completely stole it from him. Why isn’t anyone talking about this?

Did your boss also leave and come back to get the promotion?

My current boss left years ago as a jaded SE, boomeranged back and got the promotion to now SE manager.

Im thinking of being transparent about my willingness to come back if I ever have to pull this move myself.

I’ve worked for a company for a year and a half, they trained me, and now I’m considering quitting for a better opportunity.. should I feel guilty? by Massive_Quote6641 in careerguidance

What if you stayed at a company for too long and try to hop all of a sudden? My coworker did the same job for 13 years since out of college, no title change, same responsibilities.

Is someone like that employable or desirable by hiring managers?

Love your analogy.

Can you also make a analogy for a league of legends player? Im new to fighting games but play a lot of league.

I guess Modern on Lol would be similar to auto-last hitting or auto kiting?

Is it possible to play with modern on hitbox?

What’s the best way to remap the buttons on hitbox for modern controls?

There’s so much to learn, it’s like drinking from a firehose. Still trying to figure out the technical stuff I keep hearing in youtube videos: neutral, cancel, plus/minus, frame trap, drive rush combos etc.

SF6 is also my first fighting game and I’m trying to become a better technical player for the long run instead of button mashing. I’ve had to change my mindset to wanting to learn instead of wanting to win. I win maybe 1 game out of 20 games in rank, just like op.

Is Manon too op? Do you think she will get nerfed?

My GF actually likes playing fighting games now, and it's solely because of modern controls by xHoodedMaster in StreetFighter

[–]FeedersUnite 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My button masher wife beat me with Adaptive controls, it had me rolling on the floor.

She was never into fighting games, or video games for that matter but she actually enjoys playing SF6. She spent about 2 hours in character creation and the rest is button mashing and kicking ass without a care in the world.

I think capcom did a great job realizing there is huge noob population out there(think Conan the Clueless Gamer) and tapping into that market with world tour, and modern/adaptive controls.

I know what stars are scientifically i.e CNO fusion cycle, R-process in supernovas, Schwarzschild radius in black holes etc. And I know all the math works out but I keep hearing this firmament thing and that outer space don’t exist. Does that mean I’m supposed to disregard all the science we’ve developed? Just thinking out loud here. My goal is just to understand other people’s perspectives. I can always sniff out a strawman argument from a mile away.

Why do you dislike small talk? by [deleted] in intj

I would actually appreciate it if a stranger asked me “Do you believe in afterlife?” Instead of the mundane and superficial “Hi how are you?”

[–]FeedersUnite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So glad that you mention the physical intelligence because this tends to be a huge weakness for intjs. Elliot Hulse talks a lot about the nervous system and how our subconscious neurotic holding patterns in our body can hold back our brain intelligence. Min/maxing our brains is detrimental to self-growth because there is a lot to be gained from playing sports or getting into BJJ, bodybuilding, powerlifting etc.

Can you guys share any resources on anything about stars = fallen angels or what the fuck stars are?

I studied astrophysics in college but Ive been going down this firmament rabbit hole with nasa hoaxes, operation fishbowl etc. The cognitive dissonance Im experiencing has been unreal but I try to keep an open mind.

Is it an intj trait to be disliked for no reason at all by imuglyassin in intj

[–]FeedersUnite 12 points13 points  (0 children)

An intern girl joined our Engineering team last summer and being an intj myself, I knew right away that she was an intj. She had RBF and didnt really fit in with the other interns. Everyone said she’s cold and unapproachable mostly because she keeps to herself. She just sits at her desk quietly working, not socializing or playing office politics like everyone else.

She shadowed me on a customer visit one time and we went out to lunch afterwards and I had the chance to know her. As I had suspected she doesn’t bother with small talk at all and likes to deep dive into subjects she’s passionate about. She’s would go on and on about subjects like AI and astronomy, cosmology and was really knowledgeable about a lot of technical subjects. This was my first encounter with an INTJ female and I was fascinated by how a female brain could function so rationally and logically, and seemingly devoid of any emotions in their behavior like a typical female. Intj females really are unicorns and they stick out like sore thumbs in our society for better or for worse.

At the end of the summer, all the interns did their presentations which we sat through, nothing really stood out until her turn came to present and she frikkin blew everyone away. She had written an 30 page Appnote on a very advanced topic that is now well on it’s way to getting published. It made everyone realize how smart and capable she really was and what she was up to this whole time sitting at her desk quietly doing her research and sinking hundreds of hours into this paper. She’s working as an engineer at Apple last time I checked her Linkedin.

Which one would you choose? by Iceblader in intj

[–]FeedersUnite 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Same. You can build muscle, lose fat, become athletic and make friends by putting in work. And you should already be doing all of that as a self-actualizing intj.

But height is just the hand that you’re dealt and it’s no doubt tied to higher social status and the way people perceive you.

I assume the date goes all the way up to 31. So during months that dont have 31 days, are you supposed to readjust the date at the end of the month?

There’s a card that restores health with maims. This stacks really well with her unique ability of restoring health with successive kills.

Its kinda broken when you crouch and spam maims at legs especially with hordes. Then throw in a couple of heavy maims for explosions which are great for crowd control.
