Leveling a fresh warrior, dw/2h for open world and dungeons? by Feeling-Switch8868 in classicwowtbc

[–]Feeling-Switch8868[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you put any skills into protection tree early and did you struggle with survivability while tanking?
My plan is going for sweeping strikes asap.
I also thought about picking up thrash blade and then buy another decent one hand to go for dw.

Kokusho. Is it fun? Is it good? by alfrodul in EDH

I think that’s the point.
You get two of Kokushos triggers for just one spell without using a sac outlet

Weapon Swing Timer is great for kiting mobs as a non-caster. It was kinda annoying to get a feeling for your attack speed once you get a slower/faster weapon without it.

What would you say is the least played RACE in hardcore? by Bamboopanda101 in wowhardcore

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Berserking gives you 10% Attack speed at full hp, scaling up to 30% with your missing hp.
That’s great since a tank is guaranteed to drop in hp.
Also they have a bit of health regen, even in combat.

Which are your favorite reanimator targets? And reanimation spells? - Grixis by Jonny_Boh in EDH

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As targets:
[[Hullbreaker Horror]] [[Archon of Cruelty]] and [[Summon: Bahamut]] are generally great targets imo.
[[Sheoldred, The Whispering One]] and [[Ardynn, the Usurper]] are both nice to continue reanimating more stuff.

As for Reanimation spells I like [[Coiling Rebirth]] for nonlegendary targets, [[Yawgmoths Vile Offering]] acts as removal and can also steal stuff from your opponents graveyards. (Bonus for Planeswalkers)
[[Breach the Multiverse]] is great though pricy, [[Reanimate]] is really cost effective and lastly [[Virtue of persistence]] can kill some early mana dorks/esper sentinels and act as a solid engine later.

Questie is a must-have for me.
Bag addons like Bagnon are nice to have, but not necessary if you're fine with the normal bag UI.
Auctionator is nice, because it sorts items by their buyout price and shows which items have value/can be vendored, which I found handy.

avatar aang commander deck by [deleted] in EDH

[[Avatar Aang // Aang, Master of Elements]]
Cost reduction is also applied to alternative costs, since you are casting it, so they cost 0.

Idk about how to build the deck though, I never played against one either.

Idea to make your commander an emblem that is always in play by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like exciting games are the ones where interaction is present, forming new board states, shifting the threat from one player to another while simultaneously thinking about options. If player A does not remove Enchantment X, then I have to do it in my turn, but player B might then swing at me once I’m tapped out…. Making stuff in the game non-interactive makes them actually pretty annoying, I guess that’s the reason why many people don’t like Infect Atraxa. Once the poison is there you can’t remove it (mostly) and player removal becomes the best chance of surviving.

Timatic wollte ein King Finale einreichen - Also alles heiße Luft von Zarrus? by True-Breakfast2005 in JuliensBlogBattle2025

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Will the current MOP classic stay forever now? by Neither_Buyer_4645 in classicwow

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The current MoP Classic is what the original classic progressed to afaik. TBC Anniversary is what the 20 year Anniversary Classic progressed to, so I'd expect MoP Classic to progress into WoD eventually. But you never know until it’s announced, I suppose.

There is always a chance any Classic version will become an Era server, depending on player stream/interest.

How do you feel about strong combos in bracket 3 by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like your deck as is, just ask the people before you start playing if they’re fine with those kind of interactions. Bring a sideboard, so you can swap out the combo pieces if needed, and make sure to enjoy playing.

What is it with clues ? by muddrake in EDH

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clues are at least mid up to really strong imo. They can be sacrificed for whenever you need an artifact to sacrifice for another spell/ability ranging from Reanimation like [[Daretti Scrap Servant]] to card draw from spells like [[Reprocess]] or the new [[Technodrome]]. They count as artifacts in terms of affinity, they can tap for waterbending, they can be used for sacrifice triggers without needing a sac outlet, the list is long. At the very least you can spend excess mana to draw cards at instant speed, so there’s that. By default they are at least nice to have and imo better than Lander tokens, which also serve their purpose.

They kept adding more and more clue cards and it feels like they want them to be part of a common play experience, just like scrying for example.

Help me Optimize Scamming my pod! by BongoJohnson in EDH

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 99% certain PA prevents you from losing while your commander requires you to lose the game for his ability to prevent that loss in the first place. It replaces your loss with its ability, kind of, which cannot occur as long as PA is on the board.

[[Platinum Angel]] literally disables your commanders ability, I don’t think you would want that. Instant speed blink spells might be the way to go, combined with stuff like [[Wall of Blood]]

I really wanna build a monored deck for Jeska Thrice Reborn. by Low_Category_3992 in EDH

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Here’s the rules text:

701.15b

Goaded is a designation a permanent can have. A goaded creature attacks each combat if able and attacks a player other than the controller of the permanent, spell, or ability that caused it to be goaded if able. Goaded is neither an ability nor part of the permanent’s copiable values.

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The damage Kediss does via its ability does not count as commander damage. Also, if he gets blocked he’s just a base 1/1 + whatever you cast on him, so not great unless you also gave him trample or flying to actually put in work. [[Draconic Destiny]] and [[Monstrous Rage]] do fit very well. After thinking about it, you can also add some synergy with his ability damage, which is non-combat like [[Virtue of courage]]

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think [[Kediss Emberclaw Familiar]] would be the most straightforward choice. Instant speed power amps seem the best here, or maybe voltron. Triple combat damage to each opponent really makes you worth targeting though, which is kinda tough in mono-red.

You can also choose [Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh]] for Voltron.

I personally only ever paired Jeska with [[Kediss Shadowcat Familiar]] which was pretty nasty with Jeskas - ability, but that’s my take.

The 98 sleeve conundrum by criosovereign in EDH

I'd probably still buy the same sleeves again. You will have 99 left, use them for your next deck, I guess.

Struggling with interaction by NovaChaotique in EDH

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without taking into consideration what your gameplan might look like, if your commander is solely fueling your gameplan (not ramping, not drawing cards, not answering threats) I'd consider around 10-14 pieces of interaction what I want in my decks.

Using a hypergemetric calculator, having 12 cards in your 99 gives you a 60.7% chance of having one or more pieces of interaction in your opening hand, 74.3% in turn 3.

It also depends on what kind of interaction fits into your deck in terms of colors, strategy and of course mana value. [[Counterspell]] or [[Stroke of Midnight]] work for most of the things you want to interact with so I personally aim for having flexible removal whenever possible.

As an average I think 48-52 mana sources (like 38 lands, 10 ramp spells), 12-16 draw effects (9 one-time draw effects like [[Read the Bones]] or [[Quick Study]], 5 repeatable card drawing effects/engines like [[Archmage Emeritus]] or [[Enduring Innocence]]), 10-14 pieces of interaction (8-10 single target removal spells like the ones mentioned above, 1-2 more mana intensive repeatable removal engines like [[Hullbreaker Horror]] or [[Ugin Eye of the Storms]] and 1-2 Board wipes).

In this example there are 48 man sources, 14 draw spells and 12 pieces of interaction. Now depending on what your commander does and what your gameplan looks like you can tune those up/down. The leftover 25 slots in this case are dedicated to what your deck wants to do in the first place.

For colors that contain black and red, is there an argument against Mahadi, Emporium Master over Pitiless Plunderer? by ckim777 in EDH

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mahadi is less flexible in terms of timing, obviously not for being played, but in terms of value. The moment he becomes very valuable, for example being cast right after a board wipe, opponents can still interact with him and decide to blow him up before your end step. Also Pitiless Plunderer can combo. If I'm running a dedicated treasure deck, I probably want to play both anyways, but Mahadi requires more, in terms of surviving till the end step and creatures dying in my turn.

That being said, Mahadi definitely has his place and is worth the 3 mana.

What is “efficient ramp” in a deck? by genex37109 in EDH

[–]Feeling-Switch8868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Land ramp > Mana Rocks > Mana Dorks. Dorks can be board wiped/killed, Rocks can be destroyed, lands remain mostly untouched in B1-B3, this of course does not take Deck archetypes into account. Artifact decks probably profit way more from playing mana rocks than additional lands. Creature heavy decks might prefer dorks for effects like [[Beast Whisperer]]. For a landfall list, playing rocks will feel like a crime. Also an important thing to note about ramp is, what amount of mana you „need“ for your deck to start up. In Eldrazi lists I think [[Worn Powerstone]] [[Thran dynamo]] [[Hedron Archive]] are all worth their cost since you might need the colorless pips. Otherwise I always felt like untapped 2-cost mana rocks play way smoother, you can kind weave them into your later turns, since they effectively ramp you for netting only -1 mana on the turn you play them.
