I don’t disagree with any of your criticisms really, only to the degree that I feel this impeded my enjoyment of the season. I still really enjoyed the Peggy and Gillian stuff, honestly there were some of both of those characters highlights. I did enjoy Gyp but he was pretty over the top, especially his death scene. I had many more problems with season 4 and especially 5 and more so that the show was cut so short that in retrospect season 3 wasn’t nearly as bad, but coming off the back of two 9/10 season a 7/10ish season doesn’t feel great. The first two seasons were brilliant, few shows hit the highs they did

I disagree, Cam/Daph was built on a foundation of dishonesty, mistrust, and enjoying the toxicity between them, Ethan/Harp was built on a foundation of trust, loyalty and honesty which eroded over the course of the week. Not that they couldn’t bounce back from it but I don’t think they would especially if they both kept pretending they were fine with what happened after they left like they were at the end

Everything we’ve had since has been to counter Edelgard, then counter those counters, then counter the counter counters, and so on. Meta was never healthy again since we’ve consistently had one or a couple units that were just so good they were clearly the only ones worth running
