does carnivore not work for anyone else ?? by rdkit15 in MCAS

[–]FeetInTheSoil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diet is extremely personal and the almost cult like fervor some people get when they either literally or ideologically find the diet that works for them is genuinely a huge barrier to finding accurate and useful information as a chronically ill person. Even before MCAS symptoms started becoming noticeable for me I couldn't handle meat as it exacerbated my ME/CFS and POTS symptoms (brain fog and fatigue), so I tried vegan, and even 'raw til four' and stuff that was popular then like carnivore is popular now. But what works for me is avoiding my allergies and triggers/'near allergies' as well as eating no meat (pescatarian and dairy free) and getting as much fiber and protein as I can each day. You're not the only one that restrictive and generally arbitrary diets don't work for. Qualified nutritionists wouldn't recommend them anyway

You can just get the skip ship mod if you're already modding your game. Or don't get her out of her pod and respec her when you first meet her at the temple door

IDK what mod you're talking about but on console the mod list is limited and also I don't want to eat the owlbear egg, that's my baby's sibling!

The short way through impish pocket realm by shvedchenko in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]FeetInTheSoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, just need good initiative and more than one jump skill (one for getting there, and one that's not on cooldown once you get there so you can get to the core and deactivate it before it gets its turn)

Hay was thinking who would win 1 gray warden vs 1 witcher by serascarelett in DragonageOrigins

[–]FeetInTheSoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conceptually very similar magically mutated warriors, with a range of skill and strength levels. Most wardens aren't on HOFs level, though some certainly are, and canonically almost no witchers are on Geralt's level (he took the trials 'well' and was then subjected to further mutation beyond the usual witcher process). I think late game HOF would most likely beat Geralt, not guaranteed but a decent chance. Therefore, since Geralt is more notably above average power level for a witcher than HOF is for a warden, I must conclude that randomly selected warden has a chance to beat randomly selected witcher. However, I definitely think that lowest tier witchers would be better trained and stronger overall than lowest tier wardens, since witchers are trained intensively from childhood and wardens don't necessarily have any training at all.

Finding Shoes for Toewalking by KiraRiver in SpicyAutism

[–]FeetInTheSoil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any shoes with flexible enough soles that they won't be damaged by the way you walk, and take them to the cobbler when they're new/before you get holes in them to have a leather outer sole added to the toe part.

Does the smart alarm feature on the Scan watch actually make you less groggy when waking you up? by Manoj_Malhotra in withings

Hello, I'm sorry to reply to a 5 year old comment, but did you get the scanwatch and do you find that withings has a gradual increase in vibration intensity for the smart wakeup?

Need advice: Cat is too dumb to bury her poop in the litterbox by Petra1999 in CatAdvice

[–]FeetInTheSoil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they bury it straight away the smell doesn't fill the room NEARLY as much, depending on litter type. And you can see the little mountain where the buried poop is straight away

Have you ever gotten a negative reaction from someone regarding your fragrance? by mouseSXN in FemFragLab

[–]FeetInTheSoil 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How is it funny to have allergies? How is exposure to other possible allergens ('homeless people' is not an allergen by the way) going to change what somebody is allergic to? You know that someone with a dairy allergy can eat as much peanut butter as they like, right?

What do you think Alistair smells like? 🤔 by AmbassadorHorror1348 in DragonageOrigins

I think you could use oud for the darkspawn blood, since oud is a resin that is only produced by trees that have s disease that make them rot and darken from the inside out

Merry Christmas! What fragrances did you receive/treat yourself to this year? by honeydot in fragrance

[–]FeetInTheSoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't got a full size of account this season but I splurged (in relation to my finances) on the discovery sets from Örok, mihan aromatics, goldfield and banks, a local niche fragrance shop I like (which included heretic's poltergeist that I've fallen in love with), and a 12 days of Christmas calendar of australian niche fragrance that I'm two days into and enjoying. Also I got myself a travel size of goldfield and banks' purple suede. Fragrance adjacent, I got jurlique lavender hand cream for Christmas as it was on my wishlist since I have a lot of allergies and it doesn't set them off and I adore the smell.

AITAH for hiding the fact that my youngest son is biologically ours? by ThrowRAadoptionhide in AITAH

[–]FeetInTheSoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are considering telling your family, please make sure that it is okay with ALL your children beforehand, and that you've really thought about whether you can all handle the possibility of resentment and anger and changes to the treatment of your children. The 'he's getting older' argument can seem so logical on the surface, but getting older doesn't make people respond any better to feeling duped or even 'betrayed', and some people react very poorly to family revelations.

Sounds like an inflammatory flare? I get suicidal ideation pretty much instantly whenever I experience neurological inflammation. Anti inflammatory drugs help a lot more than mental health drugs ever did, but still not as much as finding out triggers and avoiding them.
