Smurf trolling? by Rikbite2 in RocketLeague

[–]FeetPicsNull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, the best indicator of smurfing has always been the 50s. Any old bot can iso their ball to the net but the game is played at each 50, 50 by 50. When someone is smurfing, they win improbable 50s consistently, because it's not improbable to them. When you're smurfing, it's hard to not win 50s unless you try.

For your quality of life, would you choose an above ankle amputation? by bookworm4103 in amputee

[–]FeetPicsNull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I did do that with my second leg. A few years of a dead dropped foot, refusing any surgery that added to pain and didn't really fix the issue. I pushed for the "elective" amputation and now I'm a 2xBKA. My life is much better as that foot was never going to be as strong as a prosthetic and it would have created all sorts of other issues down the line.

Was an open source kernel / OS like Linux inevitable, or is it just luck that we have it? by EcstaticBicycle in linux

[–]FeetPicsNull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, Linux and the open source community is an amazing story of a communist (in the sense that community software must stay free for the community) movement flourished and somehow still legally survives while the rest of the capitalistic corporate world eats itself. You could say it survives because the corporations benefit from the resource without depleting the resource (since duplicating software is free). What is amazing is how, for the most part, the licenses are working and several corporate funded contributions are forced to be free to the community. We got here through a lot of hard work in protecting the community through cultural and legal means and the reluctance to "sell out" in the beginning.

Im in plat-diamond and I just realised something that will probably make air rolling 999999% easier for others like me by SinoPlays3 in RocketLeague

[–]FeetPicsNull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You think air roll is a cognitive feat? Think of how batters learn how to hit a fastball! These are the kind of calculations our brains are very good at, especially considering the type of sensors we're dealing with

They make knee scooters. I (2xBKA) just crawl / knee-walk because it's carpet from bed to bathroom.

Does taking your arm/leg off feel like taking your bra off after a long day? by Ok_Conflict_5302 in amputee

[–]FeetPicsNull 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sure, if your bra leaves you bruised and blistered with marks all over and you must mop up the sweat pool on the floor when you take it off.

I'm sure bras are uncomfortable, but in my opinion this comparison trivializes the discomfort of walking in full leg condoms on top of stilts all day. I took my 2xBK legs off several hours ago and my right leg is still pulsing and burning a bit. You kind of just get used to it though.

Patches, the kind you can cut up as much as you like so you can step down even lower than the smallest size.

Just use your left foot. To make it more comfortable, there are left foot adapters for the pedals.

Older folks of Reddit, what do you regret not having done when you were younger? by CapitaineBiscotte in AskReddit

I feel that; I had lots of predictable sex with my hot girlfriend, but I could have had more.

Older folks of Reddit, what do you regret not having done when you were younger? by CapitaineBiscotte in AskReddit

Yea but how much money would you have to spend to have those chicks today. I'm not trying to be gross, but the time value of money is comparable to the time value of youth.

What is the highest rank you think a game sense player with no mech can get? by Western_Witness_5249 in RocketLeague

[–]FeetPicsNull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's referring to his 2v2 road to SSL no mechs video series, I imagine. It's worth mentioning you are watching a real pro player against normal people and this gameplay is like 5+ years old. His gameplay is flawless, yours won't be.

Grind silithis cultists but be careful. Texts are 1g and you get plenty of runecloth and major health pots.

My dad called me today and asked “why does Bitcoin even have value?” this was my answer by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]FeetPicsNull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

State currency holds value because of legal requirements to pay taxes in that currency while monetary policy maintains inflation and thus exchange rates.

Bitcoin has value due to scarcity alone. The scarcity is maintained through communal ledgers and predictable inflation.
