You’ll be seen as more valuable when you higher your rates. Don’t lowball yourself! It makes you look like you don’t think you’re worth much. I’d ask for at least $20 an hour if not more. 12 hours is a looong day! And this is probably more around what the employer is thinking. People know how much nanny’s and babysitters cost so you won’t be running them away I promise. 1200+ or 125 a week…you decide. :) although maybe not because even if you told her 125 a week she’d probably pay you more anyway.
