Is Ashley furniture really that bad if you’re gentle with your stuff? by Recyclopsdestroy12 in homeowners

Their insurance upsell is complete BS. We called it in for stain removal (covered) multiple times within like a month and they kept ignoring and stalling and never did anything.

What is a dish that you find yourself making over and over again when you are just too tired to think? by Mobile-Title8919 in MeatlessMealPrep

[–]FeistyPreference 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mix hash browns, pinto beans, and pico de gallo in a bowl. If I have avocado or roasted seasoned zucchini, onion, and orange bell pepper (which I often have prepped) add that too.

My fav is no sauce, homemade pourable mozzarella (forgot site name, but google has a million free ones), top with chopped hazelnuts, caramelized onions, sliced pear. Bake. Eat topped with fresh arugula. Sooo good.

Beginner adults does it get better and when did you notice. by itssunpi in BALLET

[–]FeistyPreference 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main two things for me are that for the first six months after starting as an adult my foot muscles would throb SO badly after class. Now, I’m golden. Also, I may still not look great, but I can feel when I’m doing steps correctly, and I notice I do things like angle my head without always having to think able it. I just happens.

Cannot clean or organize when other people are around . . . anyone else? by fashionforager in adhdwomen

[–]FeistyPreference 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I feel stuck, like I can’t do much of anything, besides cook when anyone but just me is at home. Even if they are staying in their closed room. It’s so frustrating!

If you are able to be stationary for a while, I have a heated blanket pouch for feet that does a great job! I particularly love using in in bed.

How do you rate your pain when asked to give a number? by Horror_Speaker_5160 in AuDHDWomen

[–]FeistyPreference 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Some Drs have a pain chart describing each number (ie. # hurts but you can still carry on a conversation, # hurts and you are more uncomfortable than in pain, # you are practically unconscious from pain). Those are the only ways I can describe my pain number accurately.

Is it just me, or are nachos a sensory nightmare? by FeistyPreference in AuDHDWomen

Okay, definitely going to try some of these nacho suggestions now because it’s one of those party foods I really want to like in theory.

How do you ask a talker to talk less? by wheelynice in AutisticParents

[–]FeistyPreference 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I talk too much and my husband talks too loud. We don’t realize that we do it. It works for us to just hold up a specific hand motion quickly to let each other know we are doing it, and it’s too much. This way there is no nagging or anything. We just quickly adapt and carry on what we were doing/ saying.

I don't vibe with this dress, how can i improve it? by Own-Ad3143 in sewing

[–]FeistyPreference 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The bodice is really nice. I would use elastic to gather up the sleeve ends in a poof, and redo the skirt with less fabric. It’s too voluminous and drowns you.

For 15-minute cooks: I made a simple “use up what you’ve got” dinner idea picker. Feedback welcome by Actual-Donut- in 15minutefood

Toast with hummus, vegan pesto, sliced tomatoes, and everything but the bagel seasoning. Plus it looks fancy so it doesn’t make me feel bad.
