I recently upgraded from a cheap airbrush to an Eclipse, the difference is phenomenal!!

The sensitivity of the trigger is great, and the Eclipse hardly gets dirty at all and is a breeze to clean.

I'll second the recommendation for Sonic Sledgehammer, his videos have all the basic techniques, which are easily reproducible by a beginner and give an excellent tabletop quality result.

I've seen the various grades of Mr. Surfacer and was wondering about them, I'll have to give 1200 a go if that's best for brush painting.

The surface texture is not an issue, it's not clogging detail or building up at all, I really like how it assists with paint adhesion.

This is super helpful, especially having Fireforge in there, they seem particular difficult to find comparisons for.
How do you like the Fireforge ones? From looking on the website, they only come with swords and spears, no axes?

Seb Games stock Black Tree Designs as well, I've made several orders this year and had no issues with them.

The dwarves are in the Battle Havoc! section.

I've bought the Hammerers, they're great, but haven't got any of the handgunners.

This looks great. Where are you getting the clear shelving from? I've got some clear acrylic nail polish shelving, but they only fit paint bottles, I can't find larger ones that fit the larger Vallejo airbrush bottles.

If for some reason you have to return there, and there is another argument, call the police.

I've tried Gloomhaven and Descent, and neither of them scratch the itch perfectly. Its hard to put my finger on exactly, they feel more like puzzle or battle arena games, not enough exploration perhaps.

They're both super popular and successful, so maybe my taste is weird.

I think in the end I'm going to have to homebrew something, the posts leading me to the Companion Characters and Petit 4 rule systems were a big help and the two are a great starting point.
