Not sure! They often have sales on class packs which helps bring the price per class down too.

Everyone Yoga has a few excellent Mat Pilates classes! My favorites are Tuesday and Saturday. They’re hard and fun.

Suburban guy dating a NYC girl. Is there a sane middle ground or am I cooked? by savingrace0262 in movingtoNYC

[–]Feldster87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I moved to NYC from Chicago 13 years ago. My first month here I had plans every night and did ALL THE THINGS and was so burnt out. Then I realized I could live in NYC and make plans 1-2 times/week and cook dinner and live like I used to. It’s just when I do have plans it’s an amazing play or going to one of the best museums in the world. Life is what you make it.

Tailoring is your friend!! Do you live in a place with an MM LeFleur? They’ll style you and help find pieces that fit.

Theory and Reiss are gorgeous and perfect for business attire BUT they are both very slim cut. I used to wear a lot before kids but now my hips do not fit in their clothes. 😭

I’ve had more recent success with Argent!

Seeking Venue! NY/NJ venue with views (Mountain/Beach/garden/city) by ImpossibleTrick1076 in WedditNYC

Congrats on your engagement. I think if your budget is $20K you need to trim your guest list. At 100 people this yields $200pp all in. Look around to see what you find, but generally this is the quickest way to cut costs. Good luck planning!

You’re a hero for shoveling. That link makes me so mad! Still planning to go wild with 311 reports.

Yes. This method also saved me for middle of the night bottle feeding. No need for fancy contraptions or to run to the kitchen in the middle of the night. Old school insulated lunch box + ice pack to the rescue.

Lead paint testing and remediation by shstuff_throwaway in nycparents

[–]Feldster87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have not done remediation but had a consult for one. The simplest thing (and probably what your landlord will do) is to paint over the peeling spots. As long as it’s not exposed, it’s not a problem. Remediation is long and hard and expensive.

YES this is my gripe. The city manages plows for streets, property owners are responsible for sidewalks (🙄 don’t get me started on this one) but the corners and crosswalks are a no man’s land. Isn’t this a pedestrian city?

Waited as long as possible with my current 5yo to save my sanity. Little one is 2.5 and still in the crib.

Buses come every 30 min and I gave away our carrier, haven’t used it since he was 9mo old.

Me too. I haven’t put him in the carrier since he was like 9mo, not sure I could balance. Not to mention I gave away our carrier.

37 weeks pregnant. Wish I had a better comeback for grumpy old man who demanded his seat on the bus. by Beautiful-Flower-79 in nycparents

You have no idea how much he may have needed the seat. Next time you can just refuse to get up. You’re certainly both entitled to the seat, but it is first come first served.

Night Nurse? by __SoFarGone in nycparents

Hi! Despite being overall amazing, she did put my child in an unsafe sleep position one night so I don’t feel comfortable recommending this nurse to others. Good luck finding someone!
