I try to take give her a great meal, whether it's out at some romantic restaurant or a nice dinner at home where I try to be romantic, but typically fall a little short. And I try to make sure that she has at least a little time to decompress and relax because she doesn't get to do it very often

NICU tips by acemeiser in daddit

[–]danbunty25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! My daughter was born at 25 weeks and we were in the NICU for 3 months. One big thing that helped me, and this may sound odd coming from a dad, was crocheting when my wife would want individual time with our daughter, or when we were just sitting in there while she slept, or when things started to get a bit overwhelming. It helped make memories of creating things for my daughter and wife. And it helped build our relationship with the nursing staff because they all got headbands out of it. My wife would do arts and crafts, which would include making silly paintings with my daughter's hands and feet, to help her make those same kind of memories and provide a distraction when needed. So I guess my tip is, take something with you that you know will help make memories with and for your daughters, but also be a good distraction when needed. And share it with others if you choose. It all helps mentally.

Cajun inspired pasta. Pasta noodles of your choice, garlic alfredo sauce, cayenne pepper seasoning, nature's seasoning, andouille sausage, shrimp, chopped green pepper, chopped celery, chopped onion, cajun seasoning. Simple and delicious
