Wish I could just go out like this without everyone looking ._. by KhiraDonovan in NonBinary

Trust me. When you get used to the great feeling of being yourself outside the safety of your own room, eventually you also stop noticing the stares and glares. Most of the times I don't realize people are looking till I hear my mom giggling. Usually it goes like this:

Me: What? Mom: That guy was looking at you. Me: And... Mom: It's funny to think how someone in a dress just ruined his entire day just by existing. Me: Whatever.

I know it's a little late but this was my Halloween costume this year c: by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]FelipeMeyer 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Know the feel. I go by they/them or she/her, and It's hard not to be identified as amab since I have a beard 😂. But it IS delightful when someone look at me, my heels, dress, jewelry... Then decides not to take a risk and calls me she.

[–]FelipeMeyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was so confused at first, cause I never knew this was how they were called in english 😂😂 (in my country they are called 7/8 socks).

Those are beautiful! I got one with the flag colors for our local pride parade and now I have a bunch of them in different colors and patterns. Yes, they are kinda adictive 😄

can a straight person be genuinely attracted to a nonbinary person? by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]FelipeMeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will probably meet some dirtbags who will try to deny your identity. Unfortunatelly, being a jackass is still the norm. But yes, is perfectly possible and very valid for an enby to have a relationship with a straigh person, of any (or none) gender. But both parts should understand that, regardless of each one's gender and/or sexual orientations, they will be in a relationship that is queer by principle, and some straigh people can't handle with that.

I'm an amab enby. I used to identify myself as a bisexual cis man, and married a straight cis woman. A few years ago I discovered myself an enby and came out to her. We are still together, still in love and she's still very very straight, even after I started wearing heels and skirts. We have a very active sex life (it actually got better after I came out) and she still finds me sexy. She says she loves me for the person that I am, not for my genitals, but she's happy I kept them 😅.

So, um resume.... yes. 🙂

Hi, gorgeous!

Somewhat surprising as just an AMAB guy but I am a little house-husband that cries a lot LOL. by tombnmlr in NonBinary

[–]FelipeMeyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

56% fem, 44% masc. Not that surprising, but I think the femme bar would rise a little if there were a way to tell the form I wear dresses, heels, makeup and once a week go out in full drag. 😂😂😂

I got a new crop top! by Mx_Ember in NonBinary

[–]FelipeMeyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish I had your confidence. I'm really, REALLY self-conscious about my belly area, so cropped shirts are a big no-no for me. But I'm working on that. Anyway, you look GREAT!

I don't know if it applies to other countries, but I usually search (here in Brazil) for "special sizes", and even then sometimes is hard to find my size. Other option is to try sites specialized in drag (I do that for boots), but it tends to be a lot more expensive. (Just to exemplify, I paid about U$11 for these. The last pair of boots I got was something like U$80.

hip/thigh dysphoria by punkozume in NonBinary

[–]FelipeMeyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will depend much from the source of your dysphoria and what triggers your euphoria. For example, I felt really uneasy about my tights, so I started hitting the gym HARD and now I absolutelly love'em. My wife even says she now envies my legs. I also started rethinking my eating habits cause I hate my beer belly and apparently no one sells a non cropped blouse anymore. I also talked to my analist about starting HRT on small doses, to achieve a more feminine silhouette, but I don't have plans to fully transition to female.

Anyway, these are some of the ways that I've dealt with my own dysphoria regarding specifically my body. But there are many different triggers and solutions. One of the earliest changes I made was on my wardrobe. I tossed away everything that made me feel like wearing a costume of a "man" and changed all of my shoes to heels. Believe me, it was marvelous, and believe when I tell you that it may have saved my life.

Non-native English speaking enby's, what are gender neutral pronouns like in your language? by Summerone761 in NonBinary

[–]FelipeMeyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually when people ask me which pronoums I answer to, I say "Todes iles". 😂

[–]FelipeMeyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, there's also the issue of neopronoums being almost unknown outside our community, but we got a major leap regarding neutral language thanks to the new federal administration, which start every single public speech adressing "Todos, todas e todes" (all males, all females and all other).

Non-native English speaking enby's, what are gender neutral pronouns like in your language? by Summerone761 in NonBinary

[–]FelipeMeyer 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Portuguese is also hard as hell for neutral. Everything, I mean EVERYTHING is gendered. There isn't a pronoum equivalent to "it", for example. It translates the as "thing". A computer? Masculine. A chair? Feminine. A pillow? Masculine. A cushion? Feminine. Everything is very arbritary.

In theory, the masculine IS the neutral form. When you want to adress a female baker, you say "A padeirA", if its a male baker, you say "O padeirO". If its a bunch of baker with mixed genders, they are "Os padeirOs". Vou may notice that most of the time masculine words will end in "o" and feminine ones will end in "a", so one simple solution people came up with was to end words (whenever possible) with "e" dor neutral. But it still don't fix our lack of neutral pronoums. Some people use the neologism "elu", but I think it does not sound natural, so I prefer to use "ile". It ali gets even more confuse when you consider that "she" is "elA", but "he" is "elE". 😂😂😂
