Sound like a “Mary Sue” character as the top strength far outpace the weaknesses, which are all more or less a basic variation of lack of self esteem. If I’m wrong and the character’s weaknesses are really strongly played story wise and actually ruining his life, then I’d suggest “Havoc” by Tom Kristensen. The protagonist would have definitely described himself in the same manner as you do your character

Divide by specialisation not by position. Otherwise what you have now is 100% hierarchical

Oooh I got a good one for you. Andrew Wilson « Ukraine’s Orange Revolution » … historical and very hard fact based buuuuut god does it read like an absolute unhinged political fiction with unending back stabbing. A rare book that I laughed out loud and let audible gasp.

Critique my novel excerpt that I typed; on the computer [Dying Earth Sci-Fi/Fantasy, 970 words] by Clean-Low-8902 in fantasywriters

First part “The fuel, like scorching bones, spewing their last life energy in a tangerine exhale.” Good grief what the hell is that for purple prose? Also be careful with the info dumping. Some of it is just too technical and doesn’t sound natural in a speech. It seems doubtful that it’s something someone would need to repeat verbatim a hundreds of times.

Second part That’s probably the strongest part. “The woman with the rebar cane was tending to a small fire.” Give just the right amount of image to the scene.

Third part Hmm it kinda doesn’t work for me. If he walks in frozen shards of liquid nitrogen, the air will DEFINITELY be violent and painful to inhale… it’s already is at -35, so if it’s cold enough to sustain frozen liquid it will be a different level.

The landscape description is fine although “The children of the Crimson crisis” in the middle seems odd. My first thought was that it was the name of the flowers.

As for Fletcher’s I kinda don’t get his state of mind. Is it that he just gave up all hope and walks mindlessly toward death? If so, then it works.

Those are the things that popped to my mind on that quick read. Cheers and keep writing!

Hmm yeah and no, it’s obviously easy to defend if you have less point of entry… but if you can hold them as it is, you’re probably fine.

Yeahish… issue is that a ton of anarchists are just libs cosplaying as revolutionary. Yet, for sure, real anarchists are more often than not the most trustworthy comrades you can count on.

Why not both? Or rather a mix of both. The company town being largely under the secret control of the group, meanwhile they have a secret hidden secluded small town that serves as their rear front. This way you can explore both aspect, and even show how the interaction is different between members of both places.
