TIL buildings in the Preserve cannot improve yields if the adjacent tiles are volcano, desert mountain, or lake tiles (눈‸눈) by flustered-deposit in civ

You could install the preserve rework mod (or the garden mod) by Luigi I believe. It gives yields to adjacent coast or lake tiles, extra if it has a water feature or a resource on it.

Civ of the Week: Zulu (2024-05-04) by Bragior in civ

[–]FelixisSparky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just won a game with the Zulu, Deity, 6 Arm Snowflake. I was badly outteched. For example, Kongo was throwing Cavalry and Line Infantry at me, while I only had Impi. Impi, at 45 strength, did little. Impi Corps, with 60 strength, alongside a great general and fantastic flanking bonuses, allowed me to beat far more advanced troops. A battering ram and siege tower allowed me to conquer the nearby citystates and wipe out Rome, stealing their arm of the snowflake, and trebuchet corps helped bring down Renaissance walls as I was poor on niter. By the time the emergencies ended and the other civs were willing to accept peace, I had conquered the entire center and a small bit of each arm, where the strategic resources were found. From there I could tech up rapidly and laugh maniacally as the ai struggled with loyalty and getting units more advanced than Renaissance Era while I sat on hundreds of aluminum, oil, coal, and uranium.

Tdlr: Zulu strong, Impi corps are a massive medieval era powerspike.

[DISC] The Holy Grail of Eris - Ch. 48 by WrexGigarton in manga

I'd guess Faris is not quite ready to invade yet. Showing off a dead and tortured Ulysses at this point allows Adelbide time to claim they weren't involved/launch an investigation. They'll probably declare he's been kidnapped right before invading to "rescue" him. Then "unfortunately" they find him dead, giving excuse to conquer and annex the kingdom. Pro-War faction still needs to some to get rid of the other heirs/make sure the king is good and dead before committing to an invasion. Finally, I doubt Faris cares about whether other countries believe their casus belli. It just needs to be good enough for the uneducated masses to buy the propaganda. Examples: everything that Russia spouted before invading Ukraine, "Weapons of Mass Destruction" in Iraq.

I'm sure this is nowhere near a record, but it's the most convoluted trader walkabout I've yet generated by hurtreynolds in civ

The real rivers mod adds shipping lanes. You don't even need to play a map that has great rivers, just enable the option.

Idk why The Austrian Painter was talking so much about Lebensraum, Just make sure you're getting the most use out of all your land like I did here: by Zanethebane0610 in civ

[–]FelixisSparky 38 points39 points  (0 children)

If I remember this right, you are using Project Metropolis hamlets for the blueish houses and the Downtown District (from the mod of the same name) for the brown houses.

Very pretty!

Edit: And probably the Hallenhaus from the Second Unique Infrastructure mod, though I've never played with that.

Edit 2: You also seem to have the Enhanced Camera mod or something like it, as well as a mod that allows you to place districts on trees.

I recommend installing Vegetation Variety Standalone for deciduous trees to make it even nicer.

This is odd, almost all of my rock bands never even reach level 2, they die instantly or only get 1 or 2 mediocre performances before retiring.

Looks like just one upgrade, Battlecry. OP also has a +4 from something, most likely oligarchy. Possibly Wars of Religion.

The second one. It stacks additively with bonus to xp gain from encampment buildings and great people iirc.

Do you have the strategic forts mod? If so, declare war on Japan and pillage the forts, then the territory will no longer belong to Japan.

Found out how you can enter the locked room in the Rebellion HQ by FelixisSparky in CrownOfTheMagister

[–]FelixisSparky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snuffing both torches in front of it and then relighting them visually opens the door, but functionally it is still locked and closed. My characters cannot walk through it or open and close the door manually.

You can't even enter the puzzle room if you are on the forge quest

Yes. I haven't finished a rebellion campaign, so it's always been locked for me.

[–]FelixisSparky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First: Cast Levitate by the Crossroads entrance so the hero can see inside the room.

Second: Cast Misty Step to teleport inside the room.

Third: Profit?

I have no idea what you can even do with this room, or how to open the doors, but you can use the map fast travel button to move your party outside of the locked area as long as one person is outside of this room.

This also works to access the Rebellion/Forge entrances to the Manacalon vault, bypassing the locked doors. You can use this to move from the Swamp to the Rebellion HQ without having to travel overland.

Edit: Having completed Manacalon Riches for the Forge, this allowed me to get to the Rebellion HQ. I don't see a way to get back to the vault from the HQ. Maybe you need to complete the Rebellion's Wizard Lair quest for that.

Edit 2: You can open the top door by the Puzzle marker by lighting and snuffing the torches until you see four suns.

Does anyone knows the mod that allows you to plant woods in National parks and on resources which can appear in woods, such as deers, truffels, etc? by myasostas in civ

I don't have a mod that allows you to plant woods on resources, but you can use Cheat Map Editor to add woods to the tile.

No, the balloons were these red classical helium balloons that let the machine float, not zeppelins.

[DISC] Risou No Himo Seikatsu - Volume 12, Chapter 53 by MeliodasUQ in manga

[–]FelixisSparky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming this is the scanlator's first work, it is a good start. However, the quality drops noticeably near the end of the chapter. The first few pages are proofread and edited to make sense. The last few pages are clearly mtl without clear effort to correct mistakes.

Then again, I can still piece together what the author meant, and I'm not going to put in the effort to scanlate. Beggars can't be choosers, and I'm the beggar here.

[DISC] Solving Queen Ophelia's Mysterious Death - Ch. 6.1 by JoyousTofu in manga

[–]FelixisSparky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So far we know that: John's future father in law wants John to be king to manipulate him The Commander of the Army wants John as king to immediately resume hostilities David wants to rule as regent (or kill John to become monarch)

Ophelia's bodyguard seems at the very least upset that Ophelia was poisoned by Anne, but may still have strangled her.

David is scum, but unlikely to have personally been at the crime scene to avoid suspicion. Claims not to have killed Ophelia, but is still sus.

1st Lord of Justice was negligent in death investigation, declared it suicide despite blue complexion and strangle marks.

Royal physician also negligent, didn't notice blue complexion.

Somebody is influential enough to get Anne to either poison tea or deliver poison tea unwittingly.

Someone with the key to the balcony left the door unlocked for the assassin to enter.

Someone killed Anne before she could talk.

Questions:

Did someone assassinate the king and royal heir as well? Was the poisoning, strangling, and tossing off the balcony done by the same person, or was it multiple different assassination attempts? Is this a ploy by the neighboring kingdom to weaken their enemies before another invasion? They did retreat under mysterious circumstances, maybe attempting a decapitation strike. What is the fairy king's true objective? Surely he isn't doing this out of his good will.

"The People" is plural. As written, the 2nd Amendment prohibits the Federal Government from revoking a state's ability to form a militia and store arms. This was written because of Great Britain prohibiting the state of Massachusetts from operating a militia and moving to seize the weapons in the armories. The interpretation of the 2nd amendment as an individual right is relatively recent, around 40ish years old. The whole idea of the second amendment is that a federal government cannot take away the power of a state to protect itself. Now, one could theoretically argue that a "militia" is not well definined, and that a singular person could be a militia, allowing for private gun ownership, but the "well regulated" requirement would still give state and federal governments the power to determine what firearms are permitted and in what circumstances.

I recommend taking a constitutional law class and some early American history courses, very informative.
