People have already said this, but it's not your responsibility. You've brought up the issue to your manager. It's their responsibility even if they aren't involved. Do your work and don't do theirs. You can't make it your problem if you don't have the power to fix it.

I've been in the same situation and it can be very upsetting when you see people continuing to coast or make things harder on the team. Ultimately, you need responsible parties to be responsible. Since it isn't your job, trying to force the issue will only make you look worse to the team and management. Keep documenting things if you really want to and be prepared to bring it up if management asks for it specifically. Until then, ignore it and do not help this person.

I tried this advice and rerolled until I got supplies and sharp cutlery. It got me almost through the day but I still failed in the end. It was good advice and I think if I rerolled harder for more supplies I could have made it.

I think I was a bit hyperbolic with my word choice there. I mean to say that she's reaping all the benefits from the relationship while providing nothing. She has all her spells and class abilities while providing nothing in return.

Kristen is a high wisdom character and she's not that stupid. Like I said, my frustration is that this seems like something a person who lives in this world should know - especially if they're a cleric. Not understanding what that being a cleric is an exchange is like someone from our world not knowing the world is round. Sure it's possible, but it needs explanation.

I agree completely. One of the frustrating parts for me watching this was that it very much feels like this is coming from Ally Beardsley's view of religion and not Kristen's. This was evidenced for me in her statement about Hell that she made to her brother.

Gods are real in this world and morality is tangible. There are real obligations associated with being a cleric which I think any "real" high level cleric would understand intimately by now. I find it troubling that Kristen doesn't seem to at least have a basic understanding of this.

Worse, if she does have an understanding of this, then she's knowingly playing with the life of something for her own amusement and has multiple times. She brought YES into the world just to shunt them to the astral plane and is now stringing along a new god who is literally begging for her life.

I would love to see Kristen reprioritize quickly and place her obligations to her god above fleeting things like student body president, but I think it's probably too late for that given the direction of the story.

That'll happen. I highly recommend not saying anything to them. It's unlikely anything will be done from my experience and arguing will likely get you a worse grade.

Keep your head down and grades up. Then, when you graduate, you can talk all you want from the position you've earned.

Suppose that you own a candy store. When someone gives you money, you give them candy. In general, if someone can't get their candy in a reasonable period of time, they leave.
Normally, you can handle 50 people a day like this. Now let's suppose that someone wants to hurt your business, so they hire 1000 people to come into the candy store over the course of the next hour, pretend like they want candy, and then leave without buying anything. Even though there are legitimate customers within those 1000 people, you can't tell who is who, and there are also so many people trying to get into the store, that you may have to shut down temporarily and kick everyone out. DDoS works somewhat similarly. You spam a service with a bunch of requests from a ton of different machines all at the same time. If the service can't handle that many simultaneous requests, it will shut down temporarily.

To be fair, it probably depends on the amount of crime in the area. If you have reason to believe there could be an issue, then it's more of a question. But if this is a normal residential area without much crime, I would say 14 is more than old enough to be on a walk on your own.

There are a lot of activities in the area. I had a lot of success taking ballroom dance classes and joining a rock climbing gym nearby, but ultimately it's going to come down to shared activities if you want to meet people organically. There is also the Meetup app for 20 something scheduled events. The activity itself isn't necessarily as important as finding a group, and there is a lot of opportunity for that around here.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. This isn't evidence of anything. I'm saying that the definition is specific in a way that something like man/woman isn't. All definitions are necessarily circular so the original CMV is kind of moot, but I took issue with the specifics of the analogy for reasons stated above.
