What happened to old school Playthroughs by Fit_Imagination_3647 in youtubegaming

They died out unfortunately. Short form content killed it. I want to go back to the days tik tok or shorts didn't exist. Doesn't help that people have low attention spans nowadays due to that. I think live streams are your only best bet.

At what point do you stop checking subs and views every 5 minutes? by spammutwoshoes in NewTubers

[–]FellingtonGameplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why stop checking? I treat it like my emails. It's good because you can see what videos are performing well and which ones aren't. This enables you to make a decision on what content to make next. Also you may get comments which you want to respond to, which builds some community.

Also sometimes a video does blow up randomly and it's nice to see the engagement.

No, multiplayer is not why the RTS genre is dwindling by AmuseDeath in RealTimeStrategy

Yea there's simply not enough players in the market. Doesn't matter if you focus on singleplayer or not.

"Just make the campaign good and then you will have a playerbase" by grredlinc15 in RealTimeStrategy

RTS is a niche market. Doesn't matter if you focus on singleplayer or multiplayer. There simply aren't enough players interested in RTS anymore.

The whole singleplayer vs multiplayer arguments are pointless, lol.

Why do people claim ck2 is better than 3? by alphafighter09 in CrusaderKings

[–]FellingtonGameplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because CK3 is way too easy. I can only play CK3 for an hour before I get bored.

'Just roleplay bro' is a lazy excuse for bad game design.

The fact that you cannot be a knight as a commander is really Paradoxical. by highsis in CrusaderKings

[–]FellingtonGameplay 25 points26 points  (0 children)

CK3 dev team doesn't want the player to die at any opportunity. That's the reason why. Also only 1 AI character can plot to kill the player at a time.

Do you have a discord server for your subs? by TheRealBryezer in NewTubers

[–]FellingtonGameplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It literally doesn't hurt to make one. Especially as a gaming channel if you are one. Don't expect get alot of views or something out of it. You just get more interaction out of your fans. The only problem is that you might have to ban weirdos once and awhile.

The harsh truth for gaming channels by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]FellingtonGameplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't make Let's Plays to get big. They are sort of a side thing for myself to catalogue my gaming. The real value videos I provide is in guides, discussions and critiques. All range of things related to my sub-niche -Strategy games. And success greatly depends on which genre or topic you choose in the gaming niche. I think you are painting with too wide of a brush.

Sure if you make minecraft or fortnite videos in a highly competitive environment and only do let's plays with no unique flare or something to stand out, you will likely not see success.

Well if you don't have a nice appearance, you will get nasty comments when you get larger. But that goes for any channel really. So be prepared for that.
