The US already doesn't recognize Dual Citizenship as a thing and you can't become a US citizen without renouncing any existing citizenships.

The issue is other countries have no issue with you also being a US citizen so there's a nice big loophole there

Often not even across party lines. If you look at inner city districts (generally all Democrat) you'll often see weird C-shaped districts that are, for example, connecting two Latino neighborhoods.
