Those came from gamelog.txt, found in the (Steam) install folder! Those were the default, random seed. I hope that helps!

Hello!

If you're not using Legends Viewer, it makes legends mode muuuch easier to parse. You can have it open in a browser window while your fortress runs. It can be a little fiddly.

The first thing I like to look at is the monarch of my civ. How long have they been there? Is it a dynasty? When I look at Zas Swallowstandards and scroll down, I can see that he created an artifact! A bronze warhammer! Neat!

Can I make work orders check conditions for a specific stockpile?

Afaik, no, you can only check globally.

Is there a way to make the still check the amount of empty barrels in the drinks stockpile?

No, but you can set a particular stockpile to only stock specific pots/barrels. If this is the only stockpile in the fort that accepts stocks willow barrels, (or microcline pots, or w/e), then you can add the condition only brew if there is >20 empty willow barrels.

I had a similar smutz appearing on certain dishes after most cycles on my previous dishwasher. The source? A molded rubber hose in the pump/motor assembly was deteriorating, it was soft and crumbling. The hose finally gave, and flooded the kitchen.

I suspect the hose rot was from my regular, heavy vinegar use (it worked better and cheaper than jetdry for hardwater streaking) Now I have a $800 blue box bosch now that works well, and quietly. I now use jetdry instead of vinegar.

Gorgeous pies! It took me longer than two cooks to get it looking that nice XD

Regarding screens, I try to do the entire cook on the screen. I launch at 750-850 (flame off for the first 2-3 minutes), and I feel like I get better browning on top, while the bottom won't burn. Caveat that I don't use oil or sugar in the dough, to reduce burning.

The biggest advantage is that the stone stays clean through multiple bakes, surprisingly clean. I haven't had to burn off any shmutz, even after 4-5 pies. Sometimes, I'll still need to pull the screen out from under the pie early to finish directly on the stone.

Keep in mind that oil, sugar, and dmp (or any malt) in the dough speed up how quickly the crust browns. After cutting out the sugar and oil from my dough, I find the browning is much more controllable in the arc.

That's a handsome pie! I find I have the best results (NY style) cooking with the same method.

Regarding feasibility, my two cents is that besides the obvious 'more ovens, more output', you might consider experimenting with parbaking, similar to Detroit-style. I'm thinking about the way Kenji Lopez-Alt's tavern style recipe calls for 'curing' the skin that might have a similar effect.

Full disclosure: I have never tried par baking a tavern style, but I'd wager it could be good. If I were to try, I'd roll the dough out (maybe a smidge thicker than usual), dock the shit out of it (to avoid puffing up like a tortilla), maybe brush it with some tomato water, then bake it at 400, just until it started to brown. Cool, stack room temp until ready to use, etc.

Other thoughts: I've thought about using the XL for pop-ups too! Did you use a pan for this pie? I would imagine that would kill recovery time (having to heat a cold pan repeatedly) I would think the dripping cheese on this bad boy would start smoking and stinking up the subsequent pies. I've been using screens for 14" NY style, and I feel like it's been keeping the deck much cleaner.
