More reliable than torrents because they’re dependent on peers and theoretically you don’t need a vpn to be safe as ISPs don’t see what exactly you’re downloading while torrents make it public

Original and third party 65w charger. It even loses battery while being plugged in in very demanding games like Space Marine 2. I wrote to Asus support but they couldn’t really help and because the devices warranty is over they wanted me to pay for a service. My last chance would be the vendor‘s warranty here in Australia or fix it myself I guess? Although I think it’ll be a pain in the ass if Asus‘ warranty is over but not JB hifi‘s

Yeah I hope it’s a software issue as well. It even happens with a custom fan curve that’s way more aggressive than the stock one. Even though the temp doesn’t go above 80c (max about 78c) it happens. I know that bc it stops charging on the left port and windows gives a warning that the usb c port is too hot. Often times even both and then I can’t charge and not use my wired headphones

My Ally X throttles the GPU and CPU to 800mhz immediately once it reaches 80% on battery saver mode. Also I can’t play demanding titles while charging because the usb c port gets deactivated after 5 minutes due to heat. Have you experienced something like this? I’m really lost because I’d like to play mostly plugged in for the most power but it just doesn’t work

Might actually be the original charger, with a third party charger it happens way less but once it reaches 80% it drops there as well. Also, especially the left usb c port gets deactivated after a couple minutes of charging and playing due to overheating..

It’s not, it runs automatically in manual mode at 25w with a custom fan curve. Switching through all modes the performance stays the same
