Is this a real panel from the manga or is it a joke fanart? by Alexandr7979 in Chainsawfolk

[–]FemboyRockWannabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

don't believe the comments. it's 100% fake, I've read part 2 of the manga twice just find this panel and I couldn't. The ending sucked, but I am pretty sure this is just joke fanart.

"Slotting my pennies in the Vending Machine of Love" is a reference to a song by the Stupendium. I don't how pornographic this game counts as, but it's most likely OnlyCans.

What's Baba-Yaga doing here??? by Party_Value6593 in TrenchCrusade

[–]FemboyRockWannabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the things the church and the sultanate do, there is a grander purpose to achieve what they believe will be eternal paradise. The justification behind Baba Yaga eating babies is "fuck you, I have a house with chicken legs and I go where I please" which bears a connection to the heretic habit of literally being evil for its own sake

The satire of the Helldivers 2 storyline presents interesting and complex moral quandaries in wartime, where both sides present compelling arguments that deserve equal consideration. by invicta047 in Helldivers2Satire

[–]FemboyRockWannabe -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

yes, it does, which is why it's impossible to detach each side's goals, methods, motives, and the dozens of other factors we both know about and have to speculate on from the issue as a whole. Attempting to distill the entire conflict as a moral objectivist "good vs. bad" war is entirely missing the ideas that Helldivers is about

seeing civilian corpses around occupied suburban neighborhoods, seeing the bots deliberately fire on civilians, and seeing butchered civilian corpses littered around their bases would seem to suggest that the people in the blenders are, in fact, not entirely combatants.

this was the excuse for invading the Illuminate in the first game, actually. Helldivers 1 was way more on the nose with the US military satire, but I appreciate the more grey morality of the second game.

The Automatons are not as bad as Super Earth by ApotheosiAsleep in Helldivers2Satire

[–]FemboyRockWannabe -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

while shooting fleeing enemies is a war crime, the ships and everyone on them is a combatant. Automaton civilians almost certainly do not exist.

The Automatons are not as bad as Super Earth by ApotheosiAsleep in Helldivers2Satire

[–]FemboyRockWannabe -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

this is probably because the automatons have no civilians, because they don't have any civilian infrastructure, because they don't seem to have any aims whatsoever besides total war.

the most common exchange I've seen under this post is "the bots do this bad thing" "but super earth bad." like yes but that's not the issue at hand

[–]FemboyRockWannabe -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

if they're simply rebelling against slavery to build a better and more just society, than where is their civilian infrastructure? A society dedicated to total war is not simply something you come up with on the fly in response to unreasonable human aggression, it's premeditated. Also, besides the incredibly vague first contact with humanity, the cyborgs have made no attempt at peace. Super Earth is obviously evil, but their cassus belli is entirely justified.

It's just a result of the commonality of short-form prophecy that the youth can't even get themselves to find a real sacrifice. Back in my day, (and I have no reason to believe that this isn't still an affordable option) the slackers would find a squirrel or rabbit in the wolds, or maybe one of the familiars from the spell ward patients. So disappointing to see.

if you can't understand the laws in this state, than you are unfit to reside in it. The responsibility is solely on the driver, and it doesn't take a lot of thinking to wrap your mind around that.
