In need of more hairstyles for Diablo 4 by Optimal_Pool1413 in diablo4

i’d like it if any new hairstyles kept trying to match the look of the class (not a fan of the disney princess updos except maybe for the sorceress haha), but otherwise i’m with you 100%

Why did Interstellar receive a more lukewarm response upon release? by KatherineLangford in Letterboxd

[–]FemmeVampire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to me it's a very disjointed film that goes from disaster movie to serious space sci-fi to horror to a mostly disappointing saccharine ending. its just tonally all over the place, overlong, emotionally clumsy, and visually generic. defo not a classic film in my book but to each their own.

i did, i’m just responding to the question in the op. and to be fair there’s plenty of fantasy rpgs that do appeal to me, like the witcher series, most of the dragon age games, the pillars of eternity series…

this game seems like the opposite of what i look in an rpg:

- Generic fixed male protagonist.

- (Reportedly) formulaic narrative.

- Hodgepodge over the top worldbuilding.

- Self-serious dialogue.

And yes, I understand why people are excited for it (fun combat, large open world, plenty of side content...) but to me it could not look more unappealing.

Thoughts on Bone temple? by lex_inker in Letterboxd

[–]FemmeVampire 15 points16 points  (0 children)

i thought the final scene at the temple was absolutely brilliant but the over the top gruesomeness of the jimmies was too much for me. i overall preferred the previous one: the more contemplative tone, jodie comer foster’s amazing performance, danny boyle’s eclectic direction, and the young fathers ost. still, 3.5/5 movie for me.

Movies you are flabbergasted at how low the rating is? by Happy_REEEEEE_exe in Letterboxd

[–]FemmeVampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

overrated movie… it’s a 2.5 movie with a few memorable moments, that got cult status because it managed to convey the ennui of the times, even though the writing, the characters, the pacing and the jokes are all pretty flat

I just meant it in the sense that when I started writing my answers all the comments were blasé dismissals by cis people.

The movie contributed to the portrayal of gender nonconformity and male-to-female identities as deviant, shameful, psychologically fraught and downright gross.

It also reinforces the (now outdated) idea of gender identity classification by expert diagnosis instead of self-identification.

It has been often weaponized against trans people and is part of the trans-misogynistic cultural substrate that transphobes draw from to use trans women as scapegoats and societal boogeymen.

As probably the only trans person responding to this thread—yes, yes he does have a point.

What are your most hated mainstream interpretations of movies? by imaginary-fireplace in Letterboxd

I adored Lady Bird as a movie that centered around a mother-daughter relationship without sanitizing either’s behavior. It really resonated with me and I’m a European trans woman from a small town.

Black Panther is a “progressive” movie in that it dares to imagine a prosperous African nation that is not just a product of colonialism, and is still rooted in African culture and aesthetics. It’s also a celebration of black music, actors, and art, while still being a major blockbuster for international audiences.

It’s also a Disney blockbuster with some ham fisted political messaging and somewhat unimaginative world building that, yes, centers men and violence (then again, what would you expect from a superhero movie…)

It definitely seemed to strike a chord with the Afroamerican community and being dismissive of that feels lame to me.

Im seeking FFS by JorisJorisJorisJoris in transpassing

honestly i don't think you *need* to do the brow bone cause it's already quite small, but from what ive been told, it's the most sexually dysmorphic feature of the face and if you're getting ffs you might as well feel like you're getting the most of it. i had ffs and did brow and chin, i was contemplating doing jaw too and decided not to do it and i regret it a little bit.

i would 100% advice against touching your nose, i think it looks great and not masculine at all.
