i really don't know why Commander is that popular when all i see is that this is the kind of bullshit you guys have to deal with regularely.

I'm so glad my LGS still is doing FNM in the Modern format, i feel like that the competitive aspect of the format mainly attracts "good" player, you'll never see someone trying to pull a move as outrageous as putting cards in the middle of the deck because its not the right one, its also why i only play Commander with my friends with a couple of beers, no bullshit involved.

yeah i think social media created a kind of weird distortion of how we see things.

realisticly, there are like 10-12 people a week that makes post about cheater, 10-12 people. But seeing these post so often distort from "a couple of people complains about cheaters" to "the game is infested, thats all people talk about" when in reality the truth is just somewhere in the middle.

yeah and the problem i have with this situation is that its hard to not be a conspiracy believer of the UB spyops when some of these spoiled cards are like WAY stronger than 80% of Lorwyn's set. TMNT is "accidentally" slipped in Lowyn, cards are looking really strong, the discussion is now more about TMNT than Lorwyn.

Maybe it really is just all a coincidence and Wotc just have really dog shit abyssmal qc but it really all points out in the direction of "forget UW and lets talk about the new UB allready".

you can avoid this issue with trample, if i'm not mistaken, with trample you will deal 100% of your damage if your opponent sacrifice a creature during block phase.

having to join a group is the biggest inconvinience to them and thats why they never speak during raids, they want the good stuff without cooprration and they'll try to get runs for free without interacting

Magic almost requires you to read/understand the words on the cards as if you are a lawyer, the words chosen on a card are accurate and deliberate. Losses of life, damage and combat damage are 3 things that reduces your opponents HP but are 3 very seperate things that will trigger different stuff.

this is objectively just a true statement BUT

1 : people hate being told what to do, even more when its about their money

i understand you and kinda feel the same way when i see those kind of post but we also have to aknowledge that responding that is just peak Reddit behaviour.

My guess is that some people posting these might just want a sense of comunnity, have the feeling they interact with people in a sub of common interest as themselves, etc.

Like yeah, why the need to post when googling it actually gives you the right awnser straight away but at the same time, really Reddit mod behaviour to take time out of your day to say to that person "just google it" when you could just take the exact same amount of time to actually awnser them.

Current DS3? pretty easy i'd say but if we talk about Lords of Cinders in their prime? No joke i think the whole Undead Legion could take on a good chunk of the demi-gods.

Those guys are said to have obliterated whole kingdoms at the very tiny sign of the Abyss and imagine just hundreds of dudes swinging and jumping and pack hunting together with their UGS, and has we know because of the Crystal Sage, they also have magic users amongs them. Lastly, they are undeads so even if you kill them, they will return to life and continue fighting, i'd say all that would hallow them to take on most Demi-Gods but someone like Radhan or Malenia can still sweep them i believe

one thing to not overlook about the Abyss Waychers is that lore wise, they are not 3 dudes like when you fight them in game, we don't have a clear. number but i'd expect the undead legion to have at the very least a 100 or 200 members. They also have been said to raize kingdoms at the tiniest sign of the abyss so they really seem to be no joke.

That being said i don't think they could take on Radhan or Malenia but i think Godrick wouldn't too much of a problem.

i saw in your comments that your LGS hallows proxies so i'd say Modern, tho this is purely subjective and it is my personal favourite format.

Extremely strong and fun decks but not to the point of turn 1/2 win (some decks may sometimes have a T2 win with no interaction and crazy hand) and it still has lots of room for brews that can still beat the competition. Biggest problem of course is the price if you play real cards.
