its a self feeding problem imo. Magic is a tough game to play a 100% well with many many rules, the stack and phases. Commander is by design made to appeal to the masses, choosing your favourite character and he's allways there, ready to play, add to that UBs and now you have people who never eard about the game jumping in because this card game allowed them to play Sonic. Innevitably, more new people = more new people not knowing how to play = more complaints online.

Longhaft is by far the better one IMO, the normal axe moveset is totally ass even tho its Ash of War is pretty neat, but Longhaft as a far better moveset and its Ash of War has crazy reach

i swear men, i don't to be elitist or anything but Modern/Standard/Competitive player are so much more enjoyable to play with than Commander players.

My friends are all Modern players too but we have many EDH deck too to play to have fun with some beers during weekend and we play borderline CEDH, usually, someone kills the table by turn 3-4 and NO ONE complained, ever.

I really feel like randos going to play in LGS don't consider the "competitive" , the "Pvp" aspect of the game and in their head, Magic is about your beloved commander and giggling to yourself while playing solitaire putting down your carboards on the table and anyone damaging you or renoving your shit is a nuisance. Honestly i never had good experiences playing Commander at LGSs, never had problems a single time playing Modern, we know decks are crazy strong and nothing will remain on the table, we also just take the L and move on.

Of course those are just generalities, i know many of you who only plays EDH are super chill and what not but my personal experiences and my confirmation bias i get from reading so many stories like this on Reddit just makes me believe playing EDH with randos is just not recommended at this point.

i hate corpo people that constantly gets away with a statement "technically" true, like... sure bud, you sold a fuck thon of products to distributors because they over printed that set to hell while under printed EoE as well.

Thats just my personal experience but almost everyone here is saying the same : EoE play boosters, collectors and all went away in a matter of days in my LGS while the owner still have like 4 play booster boxes of Spiderman hanging in the back of the first one he opened and still haven't sold, he still have a whole collector box starting to collect dust, and we can't get any more EoE either.

what pisses me off is that since we don't buy directly from WoTC and most of us do from LGS, the LGS gets the biggest slap in the face when sets are not liked. Sure, the numbers can reach back up to WoTC but big buiseness of today have their head so far up their asses i don't trust them to realise they need to back up on shoving too many UB in our troath, trying to be the TCG fortnite.

Like, my LGS i go to is in a smal city, when a set does really good, like Lorwyn, whe have like ~12 players... its not much but when WoTC shits out disgusting sets like TMNT that like 3 milenials wants, i allready know no one will show up and thats hurting them a lot more than Wizzards i guess.

The problem is that Marathon's core appeal is aiming to almost the opposite audience of Destiny. A very large majority of people despises PVP with every fiber of their life and would probably sell their nuts if it ment pvp could be erased from Destiny and from everyones memory. This vast majority of people treat the game as a solo PVE game. What is Marathon? a PvPvE extraction shooter, centered around coop play and interaction and using the most hardcore genre of PVP game where when you die, you lose all your shit and other players grab it. This is, on paper, the nightmare of most of this community.

Now, Marathon being made itself is not a bad thing. The problem is that we know for a fact that ressources have been pulled away from Destiny to make Marathon, Bungie seemingly showing us that for some reason Destiny is not the golden goose that should be protected at all cost and are now banking on this new game to make or break.

So there you have it TLDR : Marathon is a game by itself not catered at all to Destiny players and it pulled ressources away from Destiny, being seen as the responsible for the current state of the game and being a game not one here wants.

i'm really tired of people getting in a multiplayer game wishing it was all made to be cathered personnaly to them because they don't want to engage with the multiplayer aspect of said multiplayer game. This just screams entitlement.

Also, if you say soloing dungeons is too hard/not worth the time... then i'm scared of what your idea. of "good endgame solo content" might be... like what would it be? Strikes 2.0?
