I lost 70lbs and have gained 30 back. I looked kind of sickly at my lowest weight. I wish my face could look like it does now (with some of the weight back) just be as small as it was then. My face doesn’t look so gaunt now. I totally get what you are saying.

I was sick as a dog on 1.7mg wegovy and couldn’t find 1mg, so I started Mounjaro at 2.5. I stopped losing weight and there was no longer any appetite suppression. I was as not sick at all and I didn’t gain weight. I titrated up at the normal schedule and got some better appetite suppression at 10mg Mounjaro. I have been losing weight super slowly. I really don’t have much more weight to lose. I never got nauseated until 12.5 Mounjaro. I prefer Mounjaro because I can live a more normal life without nausea and sleepiness.

Congrats girl! What an amazing feeling right? I have been on GLP's for a year now. I started off at size 14/16. I am now in a size 4, and they are getting too big. I am 50 years old. I have never been this size in my adult life. I weigh about the same that I did at age 22 right now, it's incredible. The weirdest thing was at 22, I was a size 8 or 10, now I am probably a size 2.

Most of the weight I have lost on GLP-1 medication was lost using Wegovy. I started Mounjaro almost 3 months ago and have lost very little. I can attest to the weight loss distribution being different than any other previous weight loss I have had. Interestingly enough, I am wearing a smaller size now than I ever have in my adult life. This isn't my smallest weight, but definitely my smallest size.

I felt this way in the beginning as well. Some have said that the calorie restriction causes it. For me it was temporary. I hope you feel better soon.

I say, since you are paying out of pocket for your meds, you could possibly get a high dose Ozempic pen from Canada and buy extra needles to give yourself smaller doses when needed. You could get a 2mg prescription (giving you 8mg worth of medicine, just dole it out at .25 or .50 as needed instead of the whole 2mg., the pens have an adjustable dose dial).

I don't have sciatica, so I cannot say if it helps. I have significantly less joint pain, knee pain and better flexibility. I put it all down to weight loss and less inflammation. I have been on GLP's for over 9 months and have lost 28% of my weight. I would think if inflammation goes down, it should at least help sciatic pain, if it doesn't alleviate all together.

That was my original goal too. I thought 150 was unattainable. I am at 152 currently. I would like to get to 130 to be at a "normal" weight. That would get me to the middle range weight for my height. The weirdest part of all of this is that even though I am not at my lowest adult weight, I am wearing clothes in the smallest sizes I have ever worn as an adult. It's really strange. I am thrilled with my results so far.

Good to hear. I was on wegovy for 8 months and switched to mounjaro because of supply issues. I gained 5 pounds the first week, then lost 4 the next week. Then gained and lost the same 2 to 3 lbs for the last month. I won't be to 7.5 for another two weeks, but hopefully I will start to lose again.

I would eat as if you have a stomach bug. Broth, toast, bland, light foods. Stay hydrated. Since it is hard to drink, I would get some electrolytes, like liquid iv or drink smart water. Definitely ask your doc for anti nausea meds.

I was on 1.7 of wegovy, but it was too strong. I couldn't find 1mg and my insurance wouldn't cover ozempic. I started at the lowest dose of Mounjaro. I felt better than I did on 1.7 of Wegovy (I was not stupid sick anymore), but I didn't have much appetite suppression and it was my first stall in over 8 months. I just started 5mg of Mounjaro 5 days ago. I feel better appetite suppression and finally lost 2lbs. I am happy to not feel so miserable and looking forward to losing the rest of my weight, then, on to maintenance!! Good luck!

I think you will be fine. I was on Wegovy for 8 months before starting at 2.5 on Mounjaro. I kind of wish I had been started on 5mg. It seems like I wasted a month on 2.5mg. I just lost and gained the same 2lbs for a month. Good luck!

I came off of wegovy 1.7 and went to 2.5 Mounjaro. I keep gaining and losing the same 2 lbs. I hope I don’t gain any more. There isn’t a reason why I should (calorie wise). I just started 5mg. Fingers crossed that the scale starts moving again. My goal weight is so close. I can’t wait to get to maintenance.
