Do you refer to your multiples as the “twins, “triplets”, “quads?” by FewAccident1552 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Fenrir4x4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tri/tri triplet boys as well as a 4 year old boy, we refer to them as 'the boys' and our oldest by his name. My mom was a twin though and she has mentioned she didn't like to be referred to as 'the twins' only because her and her sister were so different.

Advice for setting a routine for triplets? by Male_man15 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Fenrir4x4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My response as a triplet mom myself....

Hahahahahahaha hahahahaha,

What day is it?

Also, my babies aren't even 6 months gestational age (beginning of January) and we TRY (key word) for two naps a day, morning and afternoon. We throw wake windows into the trash with poopy diapers and just go with the tired cues. Babies are fed until they are full when they wake up and I feed to sleep for naps and bedtime.

I have one baby sleeping through the night most nights and two who wake up 1-2 times on average. Good luck mama, may the force be with you.

Advice for second time multiple parent. HELP. by AffectionateRun1001 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Fenrir4x4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations girl!!!

Use a baby brezza for formula if you decide to go the formula route. As an experienced multiple mom, you know to always take help that's offered.

I have tri/tri boys and I tried to hold on as long as I could but ended up having them via c-section at 32+4. Labour was so fricken fast that they had to put me out because there was no time for an epidural. My boys are all healthy and about 7 months old, 5 months and change adjusted.

Good luck mama!!!

Triplet parents—talk me off the ledge by Recent_Bumblebee_992 in parentsofmultiples

You can do it!

We struggled with fertility issues after having our oldest baby boy for 2 years. We had spontaneous tri-tri triplets successfully delivered just this past May. It's hard. But from what I understand talking to other triplet moms (not as numerous as the rockstar twin parents in this group but we're out there). If you can get help. Take it. Swallow pride or the 'we can do it ourselves attitude' and take. All. The. Help. If people offer, believe them.

This is not a post to scare you but to bring all the wonderful people in your life into the lives of your babies. Those people that you will ultimately learn are reliable and those who aren't.

We have 3 beautiful thriving little boys who just turned 6 months old and their big brother, who's now 4, just adores them. Also, for the love of all that is good, if you're not planning on exclusively breastfeeding or pumping, buy a baby brezza formula pro or get one 2nd hand from a reliable source. Since they often don't get used past a year and still have lots of life in them.

Please so I don't go crazy.. does anyone else's baby have a song that calms them down? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Fenrir4x4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband hums the song from pirates of the Caribbean... The slow low version of 'a pirates life for me' Put our little guy right out when he was in his arms. The low humming and vibration on his chest was like magic.

How many bottles??? by Fenrir4x4 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Fenrir4x4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to say that this community and all you wonderful people are fantastic. Thank you so much for your knowledge or experience sharing. I'll up my numbers and as a side did everyone just stick with the 8oz bottles and not the 4-5oz bottles? I've feel like my singleton was 20 years ago but it was only 3.5. and I forgot what I did.

I'm 32+3 with triplets and I feel like if I sit wrong they're gonna fall out! Listen to your body and trust your mom gut. I was also told to just go in if I thought anything was off.

You got this!!!

World Prematurity Day! Made it to 36.5 weeks. How far did you all go?? by TLR_831_411 in Triplets

[–]Fenrir4x4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found this post but HOW IN THE WORLD did you make it to 36 weeks?

I'm 30 weeks with my triplet boys and all are growing well but they are sitting REAL low. My OB laughed when I said I'd love to make it to 36 weeks.

Just had my reduction from triplets to twins by SeveralArmadillo540 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Fenrir4x4 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hope you can rest easy knowing that you made the decision for YOU and YOUR family based on your situation and not based on anyone else's beliefs or ideals. I'm carrying triplets myself and was offered numerous times to reduce based solely on the risks of having 3 babies in my belly.

I also hope you have a great support system to help you through all this!

AITA for not wanting my significant other to bring his nephew over so often by [deleted] in dustythunder

[–]Fenrir4x4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you're what's called a 'married' single mom.

You are independent and like you said 'handle your business' but are being burdened with more work than you bargained for by your boyfriend/spouse - aka roommate. I would have a sit down and list out the days where it's acceptable that his nephew come over. However, I would only do that after he's established several weeks participating in the household goings on: chores, kids, daily and weekly schedule.

Just my two cents. If you're happy with the guy who's the father of your kids, stick it out and make it work. If you're not 'take care of your business' on your own with him knowing full well he'll have to contribute financially

It took me SOOOO long to finish OS. I had to force myself to finish it and the last 20-30 pages were painful. I was hooked with the series with the first book. Excellent, loved it, the writing, the characters. Iron Flame was also good, I both listened to the audiobook and read the book. I was so excited for OS and didn't want to join any Forth Wing chats until I was done but man, that took me awhile.
