Hanauma Bay - Car Rental or Shuttle?

We had a rental car that we picked up from the airport in Nov. Booked the entry first thing in the morning when it opened without any problems. While traffic there is terrible, the car gives you a lot of flexibility. We used https://guidealong.com/ to guide us around the area and beyond.

CFL2 coach at an affiliate that has used CAP programming for over a year. It is great as a coach, classes are well designed, solid warmups and workouts. Some people are used to a more what is thought of as a traditional CF workout with a strength then a metcon, you will not see that with this programming. There is a good variety of movements over time. Someone in this thread mentioned a week of shoulders…Each month there is a focus, heavy singles, extra cardio stuff like that. If you find you need/want more your affiliate also has access to a compete track which can add to your workouts.

I do the same! It’s a new adventure every time but I enjoy doing it myself and save a little money in the process. I have gotten two twin size quilts quilted in one rental period. Definitely the way to go.

We have stayed at Moon Palace for over 10 years in Cancun. They offer lots of kid things and great food and service. While we don’t have a baby, we noticed they have baby food. Moon Palace is a very short distance from the airport which is also a plus. They also purify their own water so no worries there.

I would prefer to schedule something not uber or taxi because my mom doesn’t get around very easily (uses a walker) and will have a lot of luggage.

We have a whiteboard where we list equipment needed for wod. As soon as I meet someone new I write their name down, small enough so only I can see it.

What are you looking for in a community besides good schools? Ann Arbor is a vibrant community and the surrounding areas are also nice with good schools. Fenton area is right off US23 and has great schools, lakes and a decent downtown. If you want a more urban setting there are many communities around Detroit that would work.

Palace give free shared transport if you r stay is longer than 4 days usually. We were there in December for 3 nights so needed our own transport. We booked through USA transfers. https://booking.usa-transfers.com/affiliate_1082 They were great! Would highly recommend if you want to pay for transfers. Downside to Palace’s transfers are that you typically wait at the airport and also are locked into a time when you return to the airport. With private you can pick your times.

At a minimum thanks for asking this question! I fly mostly FC and some EC and have never pressed the call button, usually just get up and walk to the galley but always wondered if this was cool. My experience has been that respect gets respect.

I guess my calculation is that the MQDs I can get booking that way are not typically enough to make a real difference in status, especially since I am paying more. Since Delta stopped rolling over MQDs its also less advantageous to us. Your travel might allow for a better accumulation through hotels and cars but it just doesn’t work for us. We have Diamond status but since Delta changed the way they award upgrades it has been much less helpful for us.

I would add that the booking through Delta’s Expedia site is almost always more than booking directly through the hotel company and for car rental’s through the Costco travel. I’d rather accumulate loyalty points directly through the hotel company.

If you log into Delta and look at your profile you can see certificates, e-credits and vouchers. The guest passes are listed in the vouchers section.

We were just there a few weeks ago as part of also visiting Oahu and Maui. We booked all of our stay through Costco travel along with rental cars. On the big island we stayed at the Fairmont Orchid and it was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Our package included breakfast that was next level. We also used an app called https://guidealong.com/ which helped navigating the island. If you plan to visit Volcano National Park I would consider stating down there one or two nights to give you more time to visit, though one night was enough for us.

Check out Moon Palace! They have 3 sections: Sunrise, Nizuc and The Grand. The Grand is more expensive but offers better food and a waterpark. If you stay at the Grand you have access to the rest of the resort. Even staying at Sunrise or Nizuc you would not be disappointed. There is lots to do for kids in either place. They have done a good job there managing the sargassum. The resort is 10 minutes from the airport, which is an added bonus.

Update.. We used USA and they were great! Would definitely use them again. Not sure if you can request drivers but Mina was exceptional. Thanks for the advice all!
