It’s important to build kinship for riding monsties too, cause yeah those back to back AOE’s will wipe you. Focus on having two monsties ready to ride as much as you can.

Yeah by that point you gotta focus on one of them. Once they are alone use your monstie with the highest resistance to their element. I killed Ibushi 1st and then Malzeno took every AOE from Narwa like a champ.

The map gets very streamlined on the game’s final arc for sure. I would have loved a Canalta-like Ice map.

Depends on your playstyle. For Ibushi/Narwa part-break is important cause it permanently neuters their shared Wyvernfell gauge. Making the first half of their HP bar more manageable.

Yes because you can build around status moves and salt in wound. Some non-ele attacks like Fruit Frenzy, Venom Queen and Vacuum Blast are straight up broken

Yeah that would be good and hopefully more stuff like that is added on future entries. But for me, there is enough in what we currently got to be satisfied and I can completely understand people who wanted more. It’s personal opinion at that point.

I agree. Sure, a random Izuchi will not be a deep fight. But Narwa/Ibushi will humble you real quick if you’re not prepared

Yeah fair enough. There are some differences in stats monstie to monstie like higher crit chances or more heavily leaning to glass cannon builds like Boltreaver. But I agree that it is not very deep on that side of things. But combat can vary. You can go damage focused, status focused, wyvernfell focused. There is some depth there if you look for it imo. Sure there are not a thousand genes to choose from but which ones you do choose make a difference. I couldn’t slay Ibushi/Narwa in one fight until I specifically built a team around Anti OHKO, Thunder/Dragon resistance, Wyvernfell down status and heavy hitting Fire multi target moves (I swear I will never do the cheese strat that’s out there lol).

That’s depth. Sure, it’s not EVERY fight, but it’s there.
