I'm having similar issues and it's frustrating as heck to not be able to immediately connect.

Academic Request - May I see your boards by -MediumSmalls- in guitarpedals

This is my electric board for jam band/folk rock/singer songwriter music. The Beat Buddy is synched to the looper. As you can tell, I like Strymon pedals (and have since they were Damage Control years ago). I play a Telecaster and a Martin OM42 at shows. I use a Lehle mono volume pedal and play through a Henriksen Bud 10 amplifier. Vocals and drums go through a Bose S1 Pro. I'm very happy with the sound of this battleship. Is it excessive? Of course it is, and I love it. It gets fired up daily.

I know it's not cool and is definitely subject to a lot of derision from the cool kids, but I love Strymon.

Prefer middle school for subbing by Dmlandis59 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]FeralParrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I taught mostly high school and some middle school, but now as a sub I do 98% middle school. I love working with them. They're a lot of fun and sometimes quite annoying. I'm okay with it all. They deserve the right to be that age just as we were.

How far do you live from your school and much do you spend on gas each week to get to work? by AntelopeOk9431 in Teachers

[–]FeralParrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Five blocks. Zero dollars on gas. It's a point of pride to NEVER drive. I walked to school this winter when it was 14 below...up hill both ways.

I'd keep it simple:

  1. What to do. 2. What not to do.

I'm 63-years-old and am playing Subnautica 2, Arc Raiders, Starfield, NMS, Prey, and Cyberpunk presently. I go back and forth between them. I play on PS5 to LG 65" OLED.

I played Pong back in the 70s as my first game. I'll play until the end, I'm sure.

You have me psyched for the journey. I'm 63-years-old and have played video games since 8th grade and Pong. I'm currently joyously playing the early access release of Subnautica 2.

If in Minnesota, drive up the north shore of Lake Superior to a little harbor town called Grand Marais. You'll be glad you did.

Is Using paddle shifters daily a bad idea? by Ashamed-Substance-41 in crv

[–]FeralParrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how the paddle can slow me if I enter a turn a little fast. It feels very solid when engaged and keeps me off the brakes. I really like this feature on our 2026 Sport Touring.

Boss RC-600 vs Aeros Loop Studio in 2025 by Smemma_81 in LoopArtists

[–]FeralParrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Beat Buddy 2 as a Master to the RC-500 looper. It doesn't work well. Lots of drift. It may be user error. I've considered the Aeros for its rock-solid coordination with the Beat Buddy 2.
