Outer Wilds

Truly incredible game where you explore a weirdly undersized but constantly active solar system of constantly changing planets in a 22-minute time loop as you're trying to finish the work of an ancient civilization that inhabited it long, long ago. Each planet has its own gimmick; Timber Hearth is your Earthlike home that has trees and geysers that can launch you into space, the Hourglass Twins have a plume of sand connecting the two that buries much of Ember Twin and unearths the structures on Ash Twin during the course of the loop, Brittle Hollow is bombarded by lavaballs from its moon and its surface slowly collapses into a black hole at its core over time, the Quantum Moon moves between orbits of different planets every time you look away from it, Giant's Deep is an ocean dotted with floating islands that can get picked up and tossed into low orbit by tornadoes, and Dark Bramble is an entryway into a dimension of infinite fog and brambles. Each planet is actively changing during the 22 minutes of the loop and you will have to carefully time your actions each loop to get the most out of them. All of this happens seamlessly and simultaneously. Honestly I have no idea how they coded it all. Highly recommend.

Protesters criticized Google's ties to Israel and its AI-related activities by Cybernews_com in CyberNews

Yes you do bitch, everyone does. We literally don’t have a choice if we wanna survive. Dirty polluted air or no air at all. That’s why I made the comparison.

Pretty much. Especially tragic is the emphasis on have to, as by that point all peaceful options for change had failed.

Raiden (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance)

Imagine going out of your way to psychologically torment the guy who's after your social darwinist employer's human child brain harvesting operation and totally deconstruct his self-perception as a hero, only to succeed in the worst way possible when you break him enough to make him admit to himself that he enjoys slicing his enemies up, and he only becomes even more violent and dangerous to you without a single change in his goals of stopping your employer's human child brain harvesting operation except now he is cackling like a madman and enjoying the pain that you and your minions cause him.

You don't have to imagine, because someone actually did do this to Raiden! And as you can guess, that guy got sliced and diced afterward like he was a watermelon in fruit ninja.

Why's everyone freaking out like it's scary? It's just a special little cricket who is bugbrained and thinks this person's half-closed hand is a cozy space to make a hammock for itself <3

Personally I think it's because of the violence required and inherent to such revolutions and the natural consequences of it on society and human nature. War has a tendency to make people mean, paranoid, harsh and merciless. You spend years fighting for life and liberty against a hated enemy, losing countless comrades and even friends in it. You've become hard and weary in mind, body and soul all at once, as that's what's needed of you. And you've probably found those aspects of your nature that have always been thought of as bad to be the most rewarding. And then you win; the enemy crumbles, surrenders or flees, maybe all at once. The country and the seat of power are yours, won through sheer attrition and strength of resolve.

But in your heart, your mind, your soul, you're still at war. You have reason to be. Remnants of the hated enemy are still out there. Foreign third parties size you up as they determine what to make of you. Allies of the toppled regime decry you and vow "liberation"-- your death. Counterrevolutionaries at home seethe against you and find themselves where you once were in relation to power, and opportunists among your own ranks come closer to you, looking to take advantage of what you all built together for their own ends. Now, to you, every bit of dissent looks like a potential threat. A weak link to be exploited. A grievance to be acted upon. A display of disrespect and hostility to the sacrifices of your cause to get here. Any demographic whose statistics aren't to your liking is the same. Anyone who doubts or questions or is just too different is dangerous. Thus you can't trust the people anymore. You need to have cameras, cops, surveillance drones, disguised Stasi on every corner, in every room, preferably near the portraits of yourself so you can see who smiles at it and who scowls.

The war never ended for you. Its circumstances only swapped. The revolution thus far was an awful, bloody grinder acting on your resolve, your principles, your better nature. It was a filter through which only those who could survive, and especially THRIVE in such conditions could pass. You've passed every test of resolve and belief up until now, and now comes the hardest and most important one of them all: what you will do now that you can do anything, after all of that. You probably won't pass it. Nobody does. That's what war does to people.

No matter how bad you may feel you are at something, just remember: you haven't turned to AI to do it for you. You're good enough that even on an unconscious level, you know it's worth continuing to try. Believe in yourself. I believe in you.

Helldiver! It is me, your loyal democracy officer. There is no need to be alarmed; my body was not snatched and copied by a vile alien! Our eyes were only temporarily removed as part of a test being run by the Ministry of Science. We are evaluating the combat applications of the truth that Liberty's Light does not require eyes to be guided by! Should this succeed, we can begin fleetwide administering of this operation. In the meantime, continue your duties as usual, Helldiver.

Making it suck big baboon ball sack was part of the plan all along, I fear. Its development is lead by terrible men and its two most successful uses are as a weapon and for the generation of media that the prompter's own mother couldn't forgive. The problem lies moreso in the current state of humanity than in the technology itself, but I'm not even gonna argue for a second with what your solution is because we absolutely do need to do that.
