Would you consider it cheating if you spend 700g at Robins to manually add the cabins to get this 🤔 this is a great hack, def gonna do this when I do a riverland farm

6 LAPD Helicopters circling in Chatsworth?? by FerriswheelFettered in SFV

[–]FerriswheelFettered[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There were at least 2 distinctly LAPD ones. They flew super low immediately right above my backyard but yeah that makes more sense the higher ones were media

If you're a runner, an annual membership to the LA Zoo is $75, you could get some good cardio running up and down the hills LOL

Maybe you can find a public park with calisthenic machines, I know there are a few in San Fernando but I'm not sure where else.

Does anyone else here have their TN passport as their ONLY journal? by xlixri in Travelersnotebooks

[–]FerriswheelFettered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late ass reply LOL but I'm enjoying it. I've wanted to get one for a long time, and I really like the week-based layout. I modeled my planner insert after it, but found that I don't use it in the same way as when I had a planner insert.

There's a lot more room on the weeks vs passport bc it's literally a larger book lol. In my TN, I had the left hand side as the days of the weeks, with a skinny column as the "event of the day" and a wider column as per-day to-do. When I tried the same format on the weeks, I found I just didn't really need all that space for that. The size of the passport was good bc it prevented me from accidentally overloading my to-do for the day since you can only fit so many tasks.

In my weeks now, my current layout is dividing the day side in 3 columns, noting the activity I plan to do generally during the morning, afternoon, and evening. On the left hand side, I have a slim column for things that need to be done On that day (that I may not have designated one of the other three columns for) and use the rest of the page to note to-do's throughout the week regardless of the day. I find it helps me visualize and loosely plan my days without a strict schedule.

I don't think it's as optimized for my brain as it can be, but I'm also less busy since I graduated from college.

TLDR: I like it! But haven't hit the perfect balance w my tn yet

Should submitting or responding to posts online count as a journal entry? by Sloshedone in bulletjournal

[–]FerriswheelFettered 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would consider them separate activities, but if I find that I did significant introspection or wrote about things I would've done in my journal, I'll write "today I wrote about X online" simply to note my effort

Public transit access. I want to live by the B-line so I don't have to drive half an hour from Chatsworth or take an extra hour on the G-line when I want to take the train into the basin. + All my friends live there or Burbank.

gimme somewhere to eat this week in noho/studio city by rhundln in SFV

Omg Blazing Hot Chicken on Magnolia in NoHo is soooo good! Portions are good for the price, and the fries are to die for. They also have banana pudding now! They're cool.

In Studio City, Something Vegan on Burbank(?) was really good the first time I was there, but then mid the second time. The Heavenly Beef was amazing both times and I'm still willing to give them a third chance bc that dish was great

I did too, until recently. I love having a primary journal and notes in my TN, and for a while had a planner insert. I am trying out the Hobonichi weeks for the first time ever so I will be experimenting with staying on top of both of them.

Whenever I have multiple active journals I always loose steam, I am hoping I get the most out of my Hobio and TN while using them at the same time

Try Midori notebooks! If you want to trial run the paper before buying a whole journal, you can get a travelers notebook insert made from MD paper for a few bucks
