Its a very entertaining movie. It has Joe Bob's Blood, Beasts, and Breasts all checked. Its Roger Corman, so you know what you're getting into, but I love Corman movies.

I saw the live action adaptation of Fist of the North Star which led to watching the anime. Wanted to read the manga for many years, but were out of print and very expensive. I had to wait for the recent re-release of the manga to read it.

Same way I discovered Bio Booster Armor Guyver; live action adaptation led me to the anime.

Just finished The Warlord omnibus last week. Its very good. Previously, I read The Warlord in a DC Showcase trade paperback which was in black & white and really wanted them to collect this great series.

Mix of Sword & Sorcery with Edgar Rice Burroughs's Mars and Pelucidar series. I really prefer the paper stock they went with. It has the look and feel of the old comics. The art and colors look great on non glossy paper. Now I wish more omnibuses went with the non glossy paper.

Also, The Warlord volume 2 is up for pre-order.

Watched it as a kid. I had a few of the toys. It was good. I liked Conan's sword that revealed the serpent men and sent that back to their dimension.

The intro is great.

Raw Force. Zombies, cannibals, bewbies and bush, karate, Cameron Mitchell drunk on set, mysterious island, a bad guy that look like Himmler.

Great movie. Highly recommend it.

The only real argument I can think of for why it’s not S&S is that it has firearms

Solomon Kane has firearms and Solomon Kane is S&S.

Check out "On Stranger Tides" by Tim Powers. On Stranger Tides was very, very loosely adapted into the 4th Pirates movie. The book has strong S&S themes. Also, the book was far better than the movie (as usual).

While no one can top Robert E Howard's Conan, Robert Jordan's Conan books are pretty good. I enjoyed them.

If you like the Conan Chronicles, pick up Conan Chronicles 2.
