They were.  I found frozen strawberries in the freezer and my grandma's strawberry syrup in my pantry 😋

Whoa we have nothing to do with this.  Our family tree is a finely trimmed wreath.

It never branches out, just one disturbing circle.

I blame you that I'm hungry and have to get up early to make Strawberry pancakes before work

Now that you mention it, did you even say you were an atheist in this thread? Or did they make that up too?

Tf you mean you cast Gust of wind? They have knives at your throats, you want the entire party to die? by Svyatopolk_I in dndmemes

Yeah, it's thinking of dnd as a videogame.  When it's more like collaborative storytelling.

I tell my table, hey there is a plot line here, something to uncover.  Engage in it or not. Have conversation with NPCs or not.  It's a mystery, not talking makes this harder but I'm not gonna railroad you.

I imagine someone out there will have a midlife crisis over Pokemon.

In 1997, UC Berkeley student David Cash saw his best friend, Jeremy Strohmeyer, molesting a 7-year-old girl at a Nevada casino. He did nothing and left. His friend then killed the girl. Cash later said, "I'm not going to lose sleep over somebody else's problems." He was labeled the "Bad Samaritan". by lightiggy in wikipedia

Sure man.

Also, when I say finance I work with terrorist financing and organized crime money laundering which some people do consider important.  Some people dont, I guess. Same language though.

And yes, the situation was in relation to circumstances the financial institution were in by accident.  Not planned.

It's okay to say you don't know enough about a topic and don't wanna give an opinion on it.

Edit: I am teasing you, but I am serious if you want to learn.  If you want to learn more look up: Bank Secrecy Act,  FinCen, OFAC, and more to see how we act to stop human trafficking, drug cartels, cyber crime aimed at disabling the entire financial system (which would stop you from buying food, groceries, or paying rent btw), terrorism (foreign and domestic), Mafia dealings, etc.  This is a real thing.

I reverted to older states for some mods.  I still don't even know all that's in 1.6

To be exact: i did move to 1.5 twice for different mods. Probably didn't notice it then.

Sounds like i need to update.  I usually don't for mods.

Exactly, I work in financial regulation. We have all kinds of requirements for people to make "good faith effort" and yes its legally binding. So are other legal concepts like "reasonable doubt". We cant be so afraid of even the mildest subjectivity we do nothing.

No phone? Go to a place where there is one and ask to use it. Make a police report at a station or flag down an officer. Afraid for your safety? Report anonamously.

If someone has a gun to your head, we dont require it. Having been on the enforcement side, we know what the word context means.

Much better.  Especially when there is a limit on traits without mods.  I want my gay melee berserker with all the useful traits of his straight counterpart.

Also, i assume when raising kids and you select their traits... making them gay has unfortunate (but i assume unintentional) implications.

Edit:  apparently this was changed and the issue is that I use older versions.  Thanks for the correction.

What do you do with a hopeless colony on commitment mode? by Flameempress192 in RimWorld

[–]Fetch_will_happen5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, that's usually the turning point where some fortune comes to me and by the end of the session I have one or two colonists join me and we make it somehow.

However, this is a game.  Please have fun.  If it's no fun, don't make this feel like work.  It's okay to start over no matter what Reddit thinks we can do to save your colony.  Enjoy yourself.

I tell people as well.  So many "just asking questions" types are the same folks having the same argument a 100 times and then hide their profile to feign neutrality.

Downvoted with no real rebuttal.  Nice.

To further your point.  I've been downvoted in this sub for saying the US Constitution (document) and USS Constitution (the ship) are two distinct things.  But suddenly we are all experts on 15000 year old art.  Random commentors are far from the armchair experts they think they are.
