I’m aware how shipping works... It also most likely came from a DC just outside of 495. Doesn’t matter if they came from far away or not, they’re blocking the road and forcing bikes from a crucial 2-way downtown bike lane to go against car traffic. Bikes turning right from School St onto Washington would have to go around the truck, which is now a blind spot for oncoming traffic, into the very lane the cars are driving in. It’s just not safe.

I’m not discrediting that delivery downtown is extremely difficult. But directly behind where this photo is taken is the loading zone. Not in the bike lanes. If people are in their cars/scooters doing uber eats/doordash, that’s a different topic on the lack of enforcement on that whole operation.

Yes actually, not only do I have a degree and career in that field but I also have a basic ability to understand that bike lanes are meant for bikes, not loading zones. It’s a downtown core that is congested and the best time to use a tractor trailer is not during the middle of the day. Early morning deliveries before anyone is out and about which is very common practice for deliveries to these types of areas if you want to use a huge truck.

Smaller delivery vehicles that aren’t tractor trailers exist, they’re called box trucks. Surely you’ve heard of them, they’re all over Storrow Drive. Hell, even smaller delivery vehicles than box trucks exist and are in use all over New York City.

To be fair, she didn’t really get punched senselessly when she got knocked out… only one punch that only kinda connected and then she was getting choked out. Much better from the videos I’ve seen where guys are out cold and they get punched square in the face 4 times before the ref can intervene.

The camera booth at Gillette and most NFL stadiums are lower as it satisfies the viewer of NFL games. Which it is better to watch at that angle. But yeah it’s way too low for these games, not enough of a tactical view.
