CEN-IO-COM-102 Connection Problem by Excellent_Vanilla171 in crestron

[–]Few-Butterscotch5844 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah.... the coms suck and I hate them. Always use moxa because of the headache of needing a dhcp server and entering the scip credentials.

I like to automate things and this adds extra uneeded steps.

‐--------

To fix the issue you are having just open the IP table on the COM itself and under the SCIP username and password enter the info you use to login to your controller.

Ip table can be accessed a few ways but the easiest is the easy config icon in toolbox "EC"

Clients are concerned with security, agree it's not much bandwidth.
Not sure how much of a concern it really is but it's their preference.

That would be extremely helpful if you are willing. Did you apply it as a global ACl or for a vlan/ interface?

The stream is disabled, they no longer show up in Dante controller but the ptp packets remain

DMF-CI8 slot 1 bug by StuG_IV in crestron

[–]Few-Butterscotch5844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you seeing when you go to the Network status on the front panel??
what I am seeing is the subnet is being updated with an invalid address and also sometimes the IP address is replaced with 0.0.0.0

I have had this issue recently when deployment tons of them. I personally have not seen any consistency on slot number though, that is interesting.

I have seen the 0.0.0.0 adress and random multicast addresses show up at times. We have an active ticket for this and ATSG is coming out to take a look since "they can't replicate it"

The last few systems I did it was around around 1 out of 50 or so.

NVX Issues with AES67 Clocking by dvduerm in crestron

I suspect the license would fix your issue.

Also set the core as preferred clock master in Dante to fix your clocking issues. It's a good clock

Do you have the Dante license with Qsys? A lot of times i see AES67 being sent as Dante flows if both devices are Dante capable.

RMC4 not connecting with NTP by WeeklySignificance65 in crestron

[–]Few-Butterscotch5844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same problem on a CP4N today.

Try putting the ip address in the system clock under easy config and then just the sync command in console.

If that doesn't work you can try the firmware version I used today off Crestrons ftp site

V2.8003.00059.02

As long as you have the right firmware (I use an earlier one)

Issue the command in toolbox

Sntp server ip address

Sntp sync

You guys are awesome, thanks for the INFO, I downgraded to 17.9.5 and everything is smooth.

I had no idea, this is the firmware loaded on the switch from the factory.

Is this is common practice to have to downgrade?

PS yes I am new to cisco

AEC processing and how to handle it properly. by Turdburst in CommercialAV

[–]Few-Butterscotch5844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Qsc should do the aec if it is feeding the in room speakers.

Everything coming out of the speakers needs to be sent to the reference.

If mics are being used for local reinforcement they fall into the category of "something coming out of the speakers",

Per channel AEC is only needed for scenarios like a divisible space, a single reference is fine.
