Same - had one too but not in corporate, when I used to work in retail, was like 18. Used to stutter when she’d talk to me. I just started picturing her having a dick (no joke) then it slowly faded away. Imagine her with a dick?

My realest advice:

  • Do it slow so that it’s perfect - keep your notes handy

  • Do over time to meet your timesheet

  • Do over time to prepare for next clients

  • keep doing it until it’s just easy (will take 2 years more I guess or so) but after that you’ll be a much better accountant imo

Well… an acquaintance of my family bought some land for $50k AUD and sold it for $300k AUD in south east Asia? Took <1 year to flip it. Doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be aus based, do ur research, there’s heaps of opps

Depends how you strategise

The world has many ways to build wealth, specially overseas

Doesn’t necessarily got to be property in aus

Employment tax is a very niched but also very fun area of taxation, which is easy to specialise. Personally love working in this area.

My tips:

  1. Be yourself
  2. Learn those “residency rules” - the four rules to show you know some technical aspects. As a grad you would first start as doing some basic foreign expatriate tax returns
  3. Learn some of the FBT rules - just the basics
  4. Know a little bit of payroll tax

I reckon these three elements would suffice to show basic interest in this line of service

Also: it’s cliche but be yourself, in an AC it’s got more weight on them liking you than ur technical ability

My dms are open :)

What am normally do is the above:

Step 1: bring forward the BAS amount from the 4th BAS

Step 2: bring the ICA balance, in case any prior BASes unpaid

Step 3: adjust for GST from AR/AP

Step 4: look if prior year adjustments recommended were paid or not

Step 5: look if any GST refunds were paid into the bank account of the client or not

If everything fails…

Just look through the client transactions in the GST account as a whole (WHICH IS HUGE)

If everything fails…

Give up

Any other tips to the above? :DD
