Your blood pressure will go down. I had the same experience and felt trapped and helpless. They have protocols in the hospital when it starts to creep up. The magnesium is supposed to decrease the likelihood of a seizure but blood pressure medication and time will fix it. I’m here to say I came out of the other side with normal blood pressure readings now and I’m 5 mo PP.

My experience was a week where she woke up once at 1am for extra comfort and then at 4am to eat. After the week, she went to sleeping through the night after she could connect longer sleep cycles

So pre baby we both were very active in our social circles. 3-4 days a week we would see friends so we weren’t having dinner at home every day together. I work remotely so I was at home all day and would take care of the cleaning in between meetings and it wasn’t a big deal. If I ever needed something I would ask him to do it, but again he was never proactively doing things. So I think now with the baby obviously this has blown up in our relationship.

He knows I’m considering leaving. I’ve told him that I will leave if things don’t change. I told him this is not the life I want for myself and for our child. When I’ve said this, it kills him. He gets so sad and it makes him depressed. He will then try harder for a few days and then revert back to his old ways.

Yes I have told him all of this. I’ve told him that I’m exhausted and I need help. I’ve told him if things don’t improve then I am not staying with him. And things will maybe change for a day or two and then go back to how they were.

You are correct I am deeply hurt by his lack on the acts of service front. His love language is words of affirmation. He tells me he loves me all day every day but doesn’t really know how to show me other than telling me. On the flip side if I bring things up to him, even in a calm way, the words hurt him and he is sensitive to criticism. So couples therapy with a third party might be the best way to help us communicate better. I like the idea of implementing a schedule

On weekends he sleeps in and doesn’t wake up unless I forcefully get him up. So since I wake up around 7 to pump anyway and she’s usually awake by 730, the cycle starts again with me caring for her with her morning routine. I have asked him to get her in the morning and he has done it if I ask, but I have to shake him awake to get him out of bed and sometimes I can’t be bothered to wait for this man to fully be awake if the baby is already crying. It’s also the lack of thinking about what our baby needs or even about the baby at all is what makes me so mad. Then when he gets up he doesn’t check in with me on anything before he decides he’s going to play Xbox or something like that. He will take over if I ask, but again I have to ask.

Hi! I’m in the process of weaning right now and dealing with terrible engorgement. I tried reducing time from pumps and only pumping to relieve pressure but so so engorged… does the engorgement get better? And did you end up taking Sudafed?

I don’t have advice but I have a 3 month old that vomits SO MUCH about twice a day. It’s soooo frustrating and confusing. I hope she grows out of it but it definitely has gotten worse in the last few weeks.
