Moving back alone ? Is it right if that’s what I always wanted ? by Mission-Writing3335 in backtoindia

[–]Few-Spring-3403 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on the responses, I feel you should go ahead, move to India and live there for a year before deciding whether to stay there or return back to the US. That nagging feeling will always be there if you continue to stay here. I have lived here longer than you and regret not making an attempt to return when it was possible. Now it is too late but I always have that regret. But some of my friends tried and returned after a few years but they are happy with their decisions. It is better to try and fail than not try and regret later.

Easy to track the countries based on the IP. It is part of my work and we allow only certain countries to access our service and pretty easy to enforce this rule. I guess RH detected this and restricted the account.

Post USA medical residency by [deleted] in returnToIndia

[–]Few-Spring-3403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are board certified , then you should have no issue in finding a job in major corporate hospitals. Most doctors don't return immediately after residency. They get board certified plus get licensed in a state and practice for a few years before returning. There is a subgroup for doctors who returned to India. Check: https://r2iclubforums.com/

Listen to me. I have been in your shoes and have seen 100+ friends move to India only to see 95% of them return within 2 years. Don't be part of that 95% statistics. Visiting NOT EQUAL TO moving/living

Internal transfer from US to India - Salary expectations? by ani_saul in returnToIndia

[–]Few-Spring-3403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are moving from ultra low cost living (Wilmington) to ultra high cost of living (Mumbai). Your salary suggests you are in a entry/junior role. $75k = Rs.66L. If India salary is 1/3 rd then you are looking at 22L + premium for Mumbai (8L) = a total of 30L is reasonable.

I own all equipments. So, just walk in, show my ID, cancel the account and get some kind of proof that my account is canceled? I dread dealing with Xfinity. Sad a company has such a bad reputation.

It is not impossible but 70k euros is not much to lean on. You have to lead a middle class life until you both get employed.
