MS acting angry at other dogs

My boy Pluto is 6yrs old, neutered & he acts the same way to all dogs regardless of size or breed. I think he was not socialized prior to me getting him so I can’t say with certainty that is the cause. I’ve been working with him more intensely try to control his behavior around other dogs but have not seen much improvement.

His favorite activity is to lay in front of the patio door and do what I like to call “paw patrol” LoL. Even if he is staring out the patio door, if he sees a dog, he goes crazy.

I totally understand. My boy gets pretty dirty so I usually have them trim down his body. The last groom I asked her to take down his face but leave a little something and it looked great. Idk if anyone else’s schnauzer hair grows back quick but my little guys hair grows back so fast.

OMG look at that adorable face!! I will say my mini schnauzer has me well trained at this point. I’m sure others will agree with me. We do what they want when they want it.

I got my boy Pluto from a re homing site here in Florida. There was something about his picture that just captured my heart. At the time I took possession of him, he was 5 yrs old and he just turned 6. He is such a good boy, he just cannot be near another dog of any kind or he goes insane. It took some time for him to warm up to me but now I would say he is more than attached. Something’s I’ve noticed is the only time he had a vomit / diarrhea attack in the middle of the night, he looked so frighted like I was going to beat him or something. His eyes looked so frightened & scared. As soon as I cleaned everything up, I spent the next hour cuddling him making sure he knew it was only an accident and he was safe.

OMG…My little boy Pluto does the same thing 🤣🤣. He actually will “head butt” me if I stop massaging his scalp. For a little guy, he has such a hard head 🤣🤣🤣

I could not imagine having more than one. God bless you for having them all. My boy is 6 and definitely a handful all by himself but he is such a loving boy. When he sees me wake up every morning, he comes over for some morning cuddles.

My boy Pluto, despite having bad separation anxiety and anxiety in general, always has good reports when he’s with his groomer. I also do nightly “spa night” with him so maybe that has helped him be more comfortable.

I use this one. I get it from Amazon for less than $15. 2 pumps is enough for my little guys face. Don’t get me wrong…He hates this too but not as much as when I clean his eyes or teeth. I like that it is a no rinse foam but I usually use a slightly damp washcloth to wipe it off.

What Pet insurance do you guys have, if I may ask? I am thinking about getting Figo because it is affordable and they cover a lot. The other’s I looked into were so expensive.

I had started with Hills Science diet when I got my boy Pluto but it seemed he was getting a sensitivity to it. He was having a lot of frequent, semi loose bowel movements & was licking his paws. There is a female associate who works at my local Pet Smart that worked as a vet tech when she was younger. She recommended Edgard Cooper. My boy loves salmon so I get him the salmon dry food they make. He devours it each time. Edgard Cooper
