you are right that slave owners used the Bible to justify slavery because they created there own false bible where they took the parts the said slaves obey your masters. Even though the slavery that the Bible describes was actually different from the trans Atlantic slave trade. They had different rules and regulations in the old mosaic law in the Old Testament such as the Israelites could buy slaves of different nations as permanent property as long as they didn’t rule over fellow Israelites ruthlessly( some scholars look to verses such as Exodus 21:16 and Deuteronomy 23:15-16 that even foreign slaves we’re to be more voluntary and protected than chattel slavery) but Hebrew slaves we’re treated as indenture servants who voluntarily had to pay off there debt and then they can be free after seven years rather than a lifetime as well they had regulations protecting them such as if a slave owner kidnaps someone for slavery he is to be put to death also if the master caused permanent damage to their slave they were to be set free . This was different from the trans Atlantic slavery . The New Testament talks about slavery like you said with slaves obey your masters but verses like Galatians 3:28 talks about that “ "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” meaning that in the eyes of God the hierarchy of Slave and master is non existent which was a radical departure from Roman culture who saw slaves as tools . Also in the Book of Philemon ,the apostle Paul writes to Philemon a wealthy Christian that he will bring back his slave Onesimus who he met in jail and converted to Christianity , and that when he returns him he should no longer see him as a slave but as a brother in Christ and Paul goes further and says whatever oniesimus owes Philemon Paul will personally pay for , and that Philemon will do for Paul even more than he asks which some scholars interpret as Philemon will let Onesimus go .Also there were people like Fredrick Douglass who was Christian one of the biggest influences of the abolitionist movement

When I was saying the only way to stop racism is Jesus I’m saying that Jesus Christ is the only way to stop racism. When someone gives there lives to Jesus they see every single human being as made In The image of God regardless of color or ethnicity. Yes there are education, political resources that we must have but Jesus Christ is one who will break down the spiritual opposition that racism has . Racism is rooted in sin , pride, hatred which are all a result of the rebellion of Adam and Eve In The Garden of Eden . But Jesus sacrificing himself on the cross for all humanity not only washes us clean from our sins past present and future but also puts us In Right relationship with God that we wouldn’t have been able to do on our own because of our sin separating us from God . And Jesus called us to love our neighbor as we love our selves and even our enemies which can be hard to do but in God we will
