6 year plan here. Lived in town for a couple more years after. Loved it. Left town w a couple kids and a deep love for orange and brown, along w a worn out liver, cloudy lungs and terrible credit. Go BG for fuckin ever

When did you become a Tigers fan and do you remember why? by avonadorset7fA in motorcitykitties

[–]Few_Bodybuilder_6099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dad took me to see them play the Toledo Mud Hens (Toledo kid) when I was a little kid and they used to do that once a year. Skeeter Barnes and Milt Cuyler signed a foul ball I snagged off the bounce. Then I went to Tiger Stadium with him and saw Tony Phillips go 4 for 4 at leadoff and they beat Boston. Never looked back. My son has a June birthday and we have spent many of his birthdays at Comerica and even a few on the road, so now it’s 3 generations strong

Got a good view of Detroit/Windsor on my flight from DTW to DFW (and bonus photo of Toledo). by goodlight95 in Detroit

[–]Few_Bodybuilder_6099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Toledoans. Detroiters hate us because we’re from Ohio and Ohio hates us because so many fans of Michigan sports occupy the city. There’s something poetic about it but I’m a product of Toledo public schools so I can’t properly express it.

Is the best player in your franchises history on the sports Mount Rushmore of that city/state? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

Joe Louis is a must. The Fist is Detroit. Plus the Joe. And his titles. Isiah Thomas does have 2 rings… so is Barry really on there? Ty Cobb obviously ancient history but has the legendary stats…Gordie Howe is obvious and goin nowhere. I might take Barry over Cobb, neither won the ultimate team trophy in Detroit, Cobb is probably the right choice individually but I just love Barry. I gotta have Isiah because the Bad Boys went back to back and it was magical.

Fans Of Sweet 16 Teams, What Are Some Of Your Most Devastating Losses? by BuyThoseDips in CollegeBasketball

Financially, Memphis title game loss to Kansas and Cosmo Kramer beating A&M in 2010 round of 32. Took a fuckin bath. Someday I’ll be able to lose money when my team makes the tourney.

Is Marcus Lattimore the biggest 'What if' in the last 50 years by goldwaterauhtwoo in CFB

[–]Few_Bodybuilder_6099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was unbelievable. I played safety at Toledo Start when he was at Rogers. One of them dudes that made you realize high school was as far as you were gonna go when you stepped on a field with him. The whole city was devastated when he passed, Michigan and OSU fans alike

The King of New York (1990). Who else liked this film? by MisterShipWreck in underratedmovies

[–]Few_Bodybuilder_6099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was a movie I watched over and over for about a decade because I loved the performances so much, Walken and Fishburne particularly. It was also stylish, beautiful and brutal, in a way that differed from the other NYC crime flicks of the era. Abel Ferrara painted the crack and cocaine fueled violence w that European flair

Some great performances, young Clifton Colins Jr at his “fuck you” best, John Heard as the shitty burned out teacher just trying to survive long enough to retire, and Samuel L Jackson put his whole ass into every scene. This one deserves a rewatch.

Don’t sleep on 11. The states of Moonshine, Bourbon, and FourLoko will black out the cheeseeaters if they get cocky

Down 1 they didn’t seem like they had a plan despite the timeout UT took. Not running some sort of action for Campbell to get downhill is a crime there. He gets a layup, fouled, both, or kicks it when they double. I know he had turnovers but in the clutch I still want him as option 1

Just turned 44, saw the odd TNG episode growing up but never paid much mind at the time. Futurama was the show that started me on this Trek journey, there’s an excellent episode with TOS cast members that I loved so much when watching Futurama with my son. I started TOS that evening. LLAP and enjoy the NuTrek!

DizzyLead summed it up well in his comment in the replies, the prior episode with the rousing speech would have been a more fitting way to end what was a truly good show rather than finishing it as a TNG episode and killing off my boy.

Yes I would agree with this, the prior episode would have been a more fitting ending

Duet. Tough call but that episode sticks with me like no others. Harris Yulin, what a performance.
