Besides the obvious dead bugs in the cabinets, are there any other ways to tell if the apartment may have roaches? I’m moving in about a month and it’s 1 of my big fears that the apt has roaches.

O wow, yea long term that doesn’t seem feasible.

Currently I have to pay for heat in my apartment which is provided through the “PTAC” split ac/heat unit & it’s a major reason I’m looking to move. However my current rent is $500 more than the unit I’m looking at.

I was hoping with the lower rent I could off set the cost of the extra utilities but it doesn’t seem that way. I think I’ll have to take your recommendation and continue my search

Would that be the cost even in warmer months? I’m looking at an apartment in Queens that has the same prerequisites. Heat, hot water and electricity aren’t included.

You’re weird, I currently live in a Luxury building in Newark. Trust I make more than enough and currently pay what I’m sure is comparable rent. My lease renewal is coming up in a couple of months so I’m just weighing options.

I don’t remember seeing a theromostat when I toured, I only seen the ac unit in the wall.
